I apologize for the inconvenience. After looking over your S1_data file, there doesn't seem to be any file structure errors. Unfortunately it appears you provided the link to delete your system info, not the actual system information file. I recommend uploading the entire Support_Tool_Data_Mac.zip file to sendspace.com, and then copy and paste the download link to the .zip file in a reply to this thread, and I will be able to assist you further.

does this help?
My apologies. Please try starting the game again, and when you see the blank screen, please try switching the game to Windowed Mode using the shortcut (Alt+Enter for PC, Command+F for Mac) and see if you are then able to see the game correctly. If so, please then try changing the game's resolution and graphics settings to a lower setting, and click Apply. Then try switching back to Full Screen Mode by using the same shortcut, and your issue should then be resolved.
when i changes it into windows mode is stayed black i can see the main menu, so i tried to change the resolution but that didnt work either
Here are a few more possible solutions:
1) Restart your computer
2) Play the game with your computer disconnected from the internet
3) Verify your cache if you purchased through Steam (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335)
4) Try playing the game with no other programs running in the background
5) Reinstall the game
If reinstalling the game doesn’t resolve the issue, you may need to delete your save games, and start a new game, as your save files may have become corrupted.
alright, it looks like i'm gonna have to start a new game without my saved games. Thank you for all your help!
You're welcome. I apologize I could not resolve your issue. I hope you are able to enjoy the game!
I'm having the exact same problem - the first chapter is fine, but as soon as I try to play the second chapter the screen goes black and nothing happens until I force quit.
I've tried a number of solutions already suggested: removing any duplicate prefs.prop files, exiting fullscreen and trying to play on a smaller screen size, I've tried restarting my computer, playing without internet, I've verified the cache on Steam, played the game without other programs running, and I've even reinstalled the game. None of these suggestions have helped unfortunately. I've also tried starting a new game in case the old one was corrupted, but the second episode still won't play.

Thanks for any help!
After looking over your support tool information, there doesn't seem to be any file structure errors. You may have received an incomplete or corrupted download file of Episode 2. I recommend uninstalling the game one more time, then try changing the download region from which your update is coming from. To do this, please click View on the top left of the Steam window, and click Settings from the drop down menu. Once the Settings window is open, click on the Downloads tab, and under the Download Region section, try switching to a different region using the drop down menu. Then close the Settings window, and restart Steam before attempting to install the game again.
I'm having the same issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times now, and have done everything from switching the download region on Steam to changing the file name. I'm at a loss. Can this be patched? I searched the forums, and even though I'm using a PC, this is the closest post to my issue. How can this be resolved?
My apologies, please read this Sticky on how to run our Support Tool, and follow the steps to run the tool, and reply here with the download link copied and pasted into a reply. You can find the Sticky here:
