The North Grove Must Never Be Lost?
Okay, I'm a GOT fan and i know quite a lot on/about it but, "the north grove?"
Whats the Grove? Does anyone have a clue at all what it is and/or about? Just wondering.
Tell some theories of yours as well please!
Found this from someone on a steam thread.
" Yeah, I don't know. They rarely talk about what happened there and I was under the impression that they searched some type of barrow or something. All I know is the uncle, after telling him about the north grove, says he may need your help soon and also that most people think the north grove is a wildling superstition. So everything is point to it being above the wall. Add in the words "iron from ice" and it seems kinda obvious. "
I don't know though.

Im not so sure but i loved that choice
Either it is a hidden grove of Ironwoods or something that the Forresters are sworn to protect.
good idea dave. I also thought this could relate to who you make sentinel? Because duncan said "it is vital to the survival of this house" which is why you might chose to pick him over Royland who does not know about the grove. So royland might lead house to destruction compared to Duncan
Okay, this made me rethink about my choice of picking Royland.
Duncan seemed so calm compared to Royland.
I'd rather have a slow and calm sentinel that makes honorable choices
and ideas, than a hyped up commando ready to kill at the sight of another
house.
At the time, I made Royland my sentinel. The last think I thought that would happen was Ethan getting a knife shoved in his throat by Ramsay.
I agree with Dave. It is a secret stash of Ironwood. So when Asher starts mixing it up, and the Whitehills burn it down in retaliation. The Ironwood will live on. Iron from Ice. Blood is shed, lives are lost, but the family and the business will live on.
Iron from Ice.
Or (plot twist) whoever you picked Sentinel dies, so you think you did the right thing by making the one Sentinel who knows about the grove, but the guy dies.
And remember that he's the last one alive to know about it other than Gared.
I guess i cant decide if the North Grove is an unknown grove of ironwood trees or if it's maybe something to do with the grove of 9 weirwoods just north of the wall.
Weirwood is my guess, given that they describe it as "a myth". So probably the Children of the Forest and Bloodraven come out and start killing Whitehills
Isn't Ironwood impervious to flames?
Forresters control the largest ironwood forest in Westeros, of which they compete with House Whitehill. The North Grove could hide some mystery which allow Forresters to overcome Whitehills and Boltons.
YOU IDIOT! YOU WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO TELL YOUR UNCLE! AND NOW YOU'VE TOLD THE INTERNET!
The "North Grove", a "wildling superstition" and "Gared, you must go to the Wall and be a ranger" tells me that the North Grove is at the north side of the Bay of Ice, in the Frozen Shore.
May be I'm wrong, but I like the idea.
A secret stash of seeds and saplings, with Children of the Forrest tending to them!
You are a funny guy.
eeeeey. I try :P
just a game chill guys
K
...okay?
Just a game? I respect these guys they are loyal fans to the game of thrones sir as am I anyway right you are ironwood is impervious to fire...my mother keeps me up to date on game of thrones and I thee agree sounds like the sacred grove may contain a slew of ironwood trees
North "Grove" is just slang for "Wind", who is Bigby's father. He really means he will be getting Bigby to come help them against the Whitehills.
BigbyconfirmedforGameofThrones
Now we need a Bigby confirmed for GOT. We need it for everyone.
Im leaning towards weirwood too. And would absolutely love to see more of Bloodraven and the Children. Anywhere, for any reason.
I assume it is like n00b_f00 suggested and is a secret stash of Ironwood someplace safe, possible in a hidden location where only the Lord's and Sentinel's know about it.
I did the same! I did not see that coming and look forward to playing the next episode to see what unfolds!
I never even thought of that.
Huh.. interesting.
Duncan said that
of he became a Ranger it could help. So I guess this i something beyond the Wall... Far beyond.
I wish, but telltale doesn't do choices like that.
Maybe it's like a special collection of different Ironwoods or Weirwood trees. It could even house like Children of the Forest or some shit.
but he said something about it being a ''Myth'' that no one knows its existing? so maybe its more than just some ironwood thats been kept away for safety and such.... i think it has to do with some wildlings and how DUNCAN said to GARRED that You Must Be A Ranger is something to do with that... its more than just some wood that is a secret! idk thats what i think
yeah it would be so predictable..
I like this theory a lot. Especially the part about killing Whitehills.
I think it could be something to do with the children of the forest.... perhaps ironwood is so strong because its actually laced with a form of magic from the children of the forest... in a similar way that the children of the forest helped fortify the wall with magic?
The North Grove could potentially be a hidden place in which the dwindling children of the forest population are hiding?
I could be completely off, but I like it as a theory
I'm wondering if this is where Bran is.. (in the books/show right now) With the children of the forest and the cave of the three eyed raven. Seems this would be a sacred place that would need to be both protected and kept secret.
This is why I chose Duncan. He is the only one at Ironwrath who knows about the Grove.
I reckon this will cause a conflict for Gared. Between his loyalty to House Forester and his oath to the Night's Watch.
I'm not sure what it is, but after saving Ryon, finding out what this is will be my main priority.
It's probably Minecraft blocks lol jk. Whatever it is, it has to be something that'll help recover the Forresters from losing their foothold to the Whitehills or else why mention that as your final words.
Exactly, you have one last message, and it goes not to your family,
but your friend and castellan. Only him. About a grove of trees that must not be lost.
Its passing strange at the very least. That he wouldnt want his family told about something so obviously important. Does he not trust his wife? Or his son the new lord?
