Is it safe to say that all hope is lost for a Season 2?
I certainly think that at this point.
With the recent announcement of the Telltale Minecraft game today, which is planned on being released in 2015, it seems that Minecraft will be the game released alongside TWD S3 and not Season 2. And since so much time has passed since the game ended, I have lost all hope on a Season 2 confirmation at this point. Honestly, why would Telltale go for a Minecraft game when there are so many people clamoring for Season 2 of TWAU.
Anyway, what do you guys think, is there still the possibility of a Season 2 or have our dreams been cast down the Witching Well?

Well, when I came back to the forums this morning, and found out about the Minecraft announcement, I was really disappointed. With that being said though, I think (a large part of me) is still clinging to hope that Telltale will announce TWAU Season 2 sometime in the future (maybe when The Borderlands and Game of Thrones games are about halfway, or nearly done with the season?).
TWAU is too good of a property for them to pass on - filled with rich characters and environments from the Fables World (and they know there are many fans waiting for Season 2 already, with the whole video that Mr Adam Harrington [voice of Bigby] made) . I'm still keeping faith that they will eventually announce Season 2.
Dreams have been tossed down the Witching Well IMO. When multi-season games like Walking Dead and Game of Thrones have run their course and before they pick up a new one, they might revisit the world of FABLES. That could be in 2017.
I just hope Telltale can punch out a DLC in the next 6-8 months. They really have no excuse.
Haha, faith, nice one.
Has GOT been confirmed for another season already?
They signed a "multi-year, multi-season deal with HBO" according to the head of Telltale (Kevin something) when the game was first announced. Its safe to say if the next couple of episodes do well with critics and fans we will see another season once Walking Dead S3 is over.
I wouldn't say that all hope is lost... But I could certainly see a delay. I haven't played TWAU (I watch playthroughs) and I don't fully understand everything, but I'd like to see a S2 of it. The fact that TTG seems to be piling on the games surprises me. I suppose, if they can really get Minecraft, TWAU S2, and TWDG S3 without major delays... That would be an acomplishment, really.
I recommend getting it. Its a really great game and you will understand it a lot more if you play it on your own. The first episode is free if you are hesitant, so you can check it out.
I'll always hold out hope. But honestly I don't think there will be a Season 2. Like the old saying goes:
Hope for the best, expect the worst.
Kevin Bruner. Thanks for letting me know.
I don't want them working on 3 games at once, I'm still hesitant about them doing two games at once. I know their company has expanded over the years, but even that is a bit too much for a still relatively small company.
Applies well to everything, I always have that outlook so I'm never disappointed. But this.... this is just.....ugh.
I've actually never heard that saying before, applies very well to this.
Oh, thank you.
Comment got deleted, I'll just post it here for you:
Oh, I'm not allowed. I'm 13, and my parents don't even know I've seen playthroughs. Too much inappropriate stuff I guess.
Nah, I totally get it. I'm the same way.
Yup, I've lost all hope now.
Looks for someone to hold and cry into shoulder
No, I don't think there's reason to lose hope at all. I'm not. It was successful, wasn't it, and with the Fables series ending soon, fans will need their fix.
Well it said GOT Season 1 when I bought it so I instantly figured 'Yep, multiple seasons confirmed already'
Damn dude, you're missing out on a great game and an even greater comic series...
They have about 180 staff working there atm
Hey bros, can I get in on this?
"Hopes to join hug with open arms"
Sure.
"Joins hug"
I don't want to see Bigby sharing Clem's fate. One season is enough, new is better.
Stop talking immediately, you don't know what can of worms you're opening by saying that... Plus there's an entire comic series set after the game so you're comment is kinda invalid.
I know exactly what I'm saying. I don't like sequels.
Yeah, so let's start playing some Chinese Democracy and not Appetite for Destruction.
You said it yourself, you don't like sequels, but it's your own opinion. Nobody is forcing you to play a sequel to the game, it's your own choice, so like HazzatheMan said, your comment is kinda invalid.
Metallica AND Guns n' Roses? Dude your a guy after my own heart!
While I do like Guns n' Roses, the reason I said that is because the gif he used is from the show HIMYM. After Barney (the character in the gif) said that, Ted counters by saying what I said there, proving that new is not always better. I do like Guns n' Roses, but they aren't one of my favorites, mainly because Axl is such a dick, but they have a lot of good songs.
Telltale is releasing max two games in the same time. I want to play something new from them but with another sequel my chances are 50 percent or less. Get it or is it too complicated?
Yeah I don't watch HIMYM, but fair enough...
Don't, it sucks.
Probably why I'm not watching it dude...
It used to be good, but the finale ruined the entire show, it completely undid all the development, work, and point of the show since the beginning.
I wouldn't know, I didn't watch it. What is the finale?
The mother dies, Barney and Robin, after spending the entire last season focused on the weekend of their wedding, get divorced 10 minutes into the final episode, Barney goes back to being the womanizer he is even though the last few season saw him actually try to be in a meaningful relationship, and Rob in and Ted get back together, eve though it's been shown, several times, that they aren't meant to be together.
The season ended in July. They would've announced a DLC by now. If they didn't then it mean they won't make one.
2014-2015 is devoted to TFBT/GOT. In 2015-2016 we'll be getting Minecraft and (likely) TWD3. GOT was announced as multi-title deal, so 2016-2017 will be GOT season 2 and a new game (because TT will probably go with the 'one veteran, one new' route).
By then, it will be 3 years after TWAU finished. They won't return to it. Look at Back to the Future or Tales of the Monkey Island.
Sad but true. I don't like this at all, but it looks like TWAU will remain a one-season game.
