Went to go see The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies..
It wasn't worth the money. This is the worst film out of the whole LOTR franch… moreise. And it's disheartening to know that this is the last film, so there is never going to be a way to fix this. It leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth, and I can't help but think Tolkien would be turning over in his grave if he knew what has been done to his beloved book. Heed my warning. Do yourself a favor and skip this movie. I sure wish I did.
I was extremely disappointed Smaug was killed so fast. I knew it happened in the book, but I think it could have been done better.
I think Jackson's issue here is he was making a prequel to LOTR, not a standalone story as the Hobbit was originally written. I'm going to pick the Hobbit and read past Fire and Water to see how different they really are.

Personally I see TLOTR's as a masterpiece I think their darker, great scenery, fight scenes and genius story a great adventure series that will live forever
I only read the hobbit book though before I saw the film
I didn't like it the new hobbit films at all the new camera style they used I hated it was a lot less dark and more childish I felt the script was terrible but the first one was at least watchable to me an ok film if you set your standards low.
I saw the second film in low quality I hated it and couldn't even finish the film I was so bored
I don't plan on seeing the third maybe when it comes to a tv channel to watch for free I might

You know... the fun thing with crossovers is that there are countless possibilities in how the story can be told. I always thought the idea of crossovers was intriguing and exciting. Some are really good, some are just plain horrible. A crossover just popped out of my head which seems quite extraordinary-- A crossover of Ratchet and Clank, Mario, Borderlands, and Kingdom Hearts. Two galactic based universes and two fantasy based universes. If done right this could be a fantastic story to experience. What crossover can you think of that would be awesome to experience?
