Is it safe to say that all hope is lost for a Season 2?

  • Honestly, I find myself agreeing with you. Telltale will probably not take the time to go back around to a S2 when they have big namers like GoT and TWD to be working on, plus with the success that TFTB could have.

I've said it before, and I will say it again though - a DLC is a must. No excuse for Telltale not to make one.

I think that there probably won't be another one not because I'm impatient- Telltale have taken on GOT, Borderlands and Minecraft now, all o

  • They were pushing for people to vote for Wolf as GOY just last week. I would say that's positive. The other properties are more well known so they're getting more attention but I didnt see anything to say that Wolf was a failure. I don't see any reason why people couldn't renew their interest with a season two. We won't get anything definite for awhile but that doesn't mean it's off the table.

No, that's not the problem, the problem is that there has been no news at all, not even a simple statement from Telltale. Just some informa

  • You are right nothing is off the table at all. The wolf will howl at the moon at least one more time.

  • Honestly, why would Telltale go for a Minecraft game when there are so many people clamoring for Season 2 of TWAU.

Because Minecraft appeals to kids and the lowest common denominator of idiot now and with Microsoft there are big bucks involved, more than an relatively obscure comic book franchise that's probably gotten most of its recent notoriety due to the games. Also compare TWD and GoT which are enormous franchises with TV shows.

  • What would a DLC be about? I'm not objecting to the idea, I just don't understand what it would be about (I haven't read the comics so my knowledge of TWAU is very limited)

Honestly, I find myself agreeing with you. Telltale will probably not take the time to go back around to a S2 when they have big namers like

  • Exactly my point. Well said. Telltale are awesome but they are also a company that needs to make a profit to survive. I hate the idea of a Minecraft game but there's no doubt it's a big selling name, far bigger than TWAU. I'm not saying all Telltale are interested in is money, but as a professional business they have to make smart decisions- and, though I hate the idea, Minecraft is a smart move and, if it means sacrificing TWAU, so be it. And on the bright side, the money they make from Minecraft will provide more funding to improve their other games.

  • Maybe focus on an obscure character? They can't do Cinderella as she is in Eastern Europe (confirmed if you go to the Tweedle's Office and check the filing cabinet) plus it is sort of confirmed in the beginnig of the comic spin-off Cinderella: Fables Are Forever...

They could do a 400 Days scenario from TWD where we go through the book of Fables and see the backstories of characters like Jersey Devil, Bloody Mary, Georgie Porgie, Holly, Grendel etc

Those characters are unique to TWAU as TellTale created them not Bill Willingham, they have a story as well so I think we deserve to see it!

Don't get me wrong, I really like the The Wolf Among Us. Those aren't fighting words, those are Capitalist words.

  • I said she is IN Eastern Europe during the events of TWAU (her file in the Tweedle's Office says that she is in Europe) but in Fables Are Forever, the beginning has Cindy on an operation in Eastern Europe, the year of that op is 1986 which is the year that TWAU is meant to be set in (supposedly) So Cindy isn't even meant to be in Fabletown at the time of the game!

Why can't they do Cinderella just because she's from Eastern Europe?

  • Oh, sorry :) I was wondering whether she couldn't be in the game because of something political (or something weird like that). Thanks for clearing that up.

  • I would like to play as Bigby during the Civil War/WW1/WW2; we get a glimpse of what he did during WW2 in Fables, but I wanna see more of Bigby as a military badass!

Like @HazzatheMan said, it would most likely follow around a character, if not characters, through a different story. 400 Days type where w

  • Like @HazzatheMan said, it would most likely follow around a character, if not characters, through a different story. 400 Days type where we can play as 5 different Fables, one where we play just as Snow, or maybe one where we can even play as Bigby during some random case of something :p

  • I think they will do another season of TWAU, because they left it on to big of a cliffhanger not to. I think Nerissa knows even more than she is letting on and we will find out what that is in the next season. Trust me TTG aren't going to pass up the oppurtunity to make a second season. Although I hope they release it sooner rather than later.

  • How about it: something goes wrong on New Years Eve party in the Woodlands and we can experience a short story from a 5 different perspectives? That would be cool, collecting clues by four different characters and then the final one would be Bigby, putting them all togheter. Or something like this...

Like @HazzatheMan said, it would most likely follow around a character, if not characters, through a different story. 400 Days type where w

  • Yeah I figure something like that would be cool. Four different Fables go around, investigating stuff, then report back to Bigby who will wrap the case up. Good idea for a DLC.

I would love to see something out of War Stories though

No! Sorry I meant that on the back of the comics it says 'Suggested for mature readers' and 'mature' means about 17 years of age...

The season ended in July. They would've announced a DLC by now. If they didn't then it mean they won't make one. 2014-2015 is devoted to

  • People have little faith in TellTale yet they continue to get proven wrong, TWAU may not get a sequel right out of the blue but not every game is going to get a sequel in just a year.

  • Yup, but for some reason TellTale sees fans begging them to make a season 2 although back before episode 1 was released they were asked if they would make another season and they said it was up to the fans....

  • Maybe Willingham was not happy with the direction they were taking the story and making it difficult enough for TT to just scrap the project after the season was done.

  • Doubt it, he LOVED TWAU!!!

He had them rewrite the story after Ep. 1 cuz it went against the comic canon, but he wouldn't want them to scrap it.
