I apologize for any difficulties you have experienced. Can you please clarify if you are connected to a strong internet connection while the game is at the 'Updating Content' screen? Also, do you have any anti-virus programs that may be blocking the game's communication with our servers?

same problem. downloaded game from server fine, stuck in game searching for content. Tried lan and wifi connections, no anti-virus. No ideas....

UPDATE: uninstalled and re-installed game under default file path instead of D: drive...login for telltale popped up finally. I guess this was my issue? Still weird.

@reggie_gakil and @excalif After looking over your Support Tool information, I cannot seem to see why you are experiencing this issue. Please try disabling any anti-virus or internet firewall programs you may have open and running, and restart the game. Please also make sure that you have a strong connection to the internet.

If you still experience the issue, can you please clarify what country region you are currently located in?

  • Tried disabling it, and my internet is fast enough, it still didn't work.

I live in Singapore, but there shouldn't be any problem with that since this game isn't region restricted in that area.

Please also try running the game As an Administrator, or in a Compatibility Mode, and see if you are then able to proceed past the Updating Content screen.

After looking over your Support Tool information, it appears that the game is installed to the D:\ drive on your computer. Please try installing the game to the C:\ drive on your computer, and you should not experience this issue again.

  • I'm having the same problem ... seems to be a problem that Mac users are all experiencing. It's really frustrating because I've really enjoyed playing the Walking Dead games and The Wolf Among Us. Just assumed that this would be another great game. Unfortunately as of now, it's a waste of $30.00

If you are currently experiencing this issue, can you please clarify if you are connected to the internet through a wireless network connection, or a wired connection? Also, did you purchase the game through Steam, or through our website? If you purchased the game through Steam, and are currently experiencing this issue, please try Verifying the Game Cache.

If you purchased the game through us, please make sure you have closed any and all other programs running in the background, and that you have disabled any anti-virus and internet firewall programs open and running in the background when attempting to start the game, and you should be able to start the game successfully.

  • I met the same problem as everyone above, and I managed to fix my problem.

First, I tried uninstalling and re-downloading the game, didn't work.

Next, I tried installing it on the default path and run it as an administrator, didn't work.

Then, I tried disabling my anti-virus and I tought that the same problem was still happening, but I noticed that when I moved my mouse toward the center of the screen, my normal white mouse would appear overlapping the blue borderlands one. So I guessed there was a window I couldn't see and try entering my email address then press TAB, and my password before pressing the enter key, and it worked.

I don't know if that's the problem those who still can't play are having, but it seems that in some case, the login window doesn't appear but is still interacable.
