If you could change one thing in each Episode; what would you change?

So just list the one thing you would change for each of the 5 episodes...

Me personally:

  • Ep. 1: I would rewrite the whole thing to better suit the other 4 episodes (a really big change but that's what I think)

  • Ep. 2: I would clarify (as proven in the comics) that Bigby knows exactly where Snow is every minute of every day; I doubt a glamour could fool him...

  • Ep. 3: I would want to be able to fully explore both Crane's apartment and the Tweedle's Office so I could talk with Jack and find the secret room all in one playthrough.

  • Ep. 4 I wanted the entry to the Crooked Man's lair to be a fight with some trolls or goblins (kinda like what Bigby can say to Tim) I don't know why Tim is even there, he isn't even important to the series whatsoever (unless a DLC/Season 2 makes him important somehow)

  • Ep. 5 This really pissed me off when I played the episode. I wanted a fist fight with Mary, not 'one punch and she runs away to change form', I wanted a proper punch up between 2 powerful Fables with penchants for shocking violence...

So, that's what I would change; what would you change ppl?

Ep 1: I would actually just change the " Next Time " sequence to make it more consistent with how Ep 2 plays out considering it has nothing to with the upcoming episodes.

Ep 2: Make it longer, and make the Beast fight less contrived and feel natural instead of it being there just so the episode can have a fight scene. Give Lawrence more scenes.

Ep 3: Make it longer and try not to make the plot solely based on catching Crane and thinking Crane is the killer , since it's extremely obvious that he's a red herring ever since Ep 2's ending. Give Lawrence more stuff to do.

Ep 4: Make Jack ALOT more involved in the plot rather than feeling like a lame cameo ( there really is no point in making a deal with him, since it never really leads to anything special). Make it Longer. Give the Jersey fight more variety like the Woodsman fight. Actually have the Episode end with the scene with the Bigby, Georgie, and Vivian sequence, and have the episode cut to black after Bigby leaves the Pudding and Pie.

Ep 5: Give the Crooked Man more scenes. Make it Longer.

Sidenote: I would also have the choices give a much bigger impact on how the story plays out.

  • Wow... Ok: Lawrence isn't in Ep. 2 dude...

The 'Next time' sequence for Ep. 1 I completely agree with!

I thought the Beast fight was ok, but it could've been more than just a wrestle imo.

The whole Crane is the killer thing is ridiculous when you replay episode 3; in the comics Bigby wouldn't instantly assume he was the murderer, he would add Crane to a list of potential suspects...

The Jersey fight was perfect; though giving each fight variety like the Woodsman fight would've been pretty cool as well!

I know, I meant, put Lawrence in episode 2 and give him something to do.

I actually don't really mind that Bigby thinks Crane is the killer (he probably got better at his job as time went on), I just wished the plot didn't hinge so hard on a red herring that the player knew wasn't the killer.

  • Fair enough, but it would be kinda pointless cuz he can be dead; hence why he has an optional scene in episode 3 where you can talk to him and how he mentions Faith to the Crooked Man in episode 5 at the trial if he is alive instead of Holly mentioning Lily.

Yeah, but it could have worked the same way the whole Doug and Carely situation worked in TWD.

  • I only ever saved Carly so I wouldn't know; tbh I felt more connected to my choices in TWD than in TWAU...

I guess it's because TWD is meant to imitate real life with it's characters, whereas TWAU is complete fantasy stuff where most decisions can seem appropriate!

  • Ep 1: nothing

Ep 2: kept the whole Branagin talking about Bigbys birth records and stuff because she would just loose her memory anyway

Ep 3: Be able to go everywhere

    Ep4: There was a ton of really cool cut things from ep 4 that Id wish they kept but I dont think Im allowed to say them here ;-;

Ep 5: Would have kept the whole last time in the business office that they cut for unknown reasons

  • I know of the 'last time in the Business Office' with the Magic Mirror and stuff; but I'm interested in hearing about what they cut from Ep. 4 now...

How do you get her to talk about those???

  • Like most people, I would want Ep.2-5 to be longer. But I would also wish for Ep.4-5 did a good job of incorporating that noir feeling that Ep.1-3 did a good job of.

  • Ep 1: Nothing

Ep 2: I'm not sure how I would change this; perhaps not focus too much on Georgie. Seemed like it just dragged on.

Ep 3: Spent WAY too much time looking for Crane; wouldn't they want to ask the people they JUST spoke to about the photo, since it WAS in the Open Arms?

Ep 4: Nothing; had fun playing butwas devestated when we didn't get enough Jersey. :(

Ep 5: Did I need to stab Georgie? Why was the fight with Mary short? THAT should have been the main focus in the begining and after the battle, she tells you about georgie or something like that. You take BOTH him and the CM back and THERE during the trial, you could spend time figuring out the story. It would have been interesting seeing those two start a screeching match, with all the Fables there. Wish Gwen and Hans would have joined Nerissa.

    But... you love Georgie :O

Why was the fight with Mary short?

I wouldn't complain about it being short as it is the longest fight of the series; my complaint is that the fist fight at the beginning is WAY to short, I wanted a punch up!

Ep 1 : I'd add more variety to the investigation in Toad's apartment

Ep 2 : I don't know, I have a feeling like the entire investigation at the Open Arms was a little bit too long, they could've incorporate that time into extended fight with Beast, or perhaps Gren flipping out in the bar and attacking Bigby in rage when he hears about the Lily, I just have a feeling like there was a couple of wasted opportunities in this episode

Ep 3 : I'm really wondering why Bluebeard wanted to destroy the Cranes stuff in his apartment/Tweedles stuff in their office. He clearly wanted to get rid of some evidence I think, and like Snow said, he's up to something, so I would extend this little subplot. Besides, I would love to see more Lawrence in this ep

Ep 4 : I'm interested where the Snigby scene would end up being if Colin didn't cockblocked Bigby x) But I would also bring back the option to choose if you want to talk to Toad or Bluebeard, since I've found some audio files where Snow is asking Bigby to talk to Bluebeard, but to 'be careful with him since Business Office needs his donations more than ever'. I think it might add more variety to the whole scene at the office.

Ep 5 : Again, bringing back the scene where you can poke around the Business Office for the last time might be cool. I would also add an option where Bigby might perhaps call Swineheart in order to save Georgie, so he can appear at the CM trial, and get his own punishment aswell

    Nice, very nice :D

With regards to Bluebeard; he has some little schemes of his own in the comics (one of which is revealed way after his death in Werewolves of the Heartlands) so he probably made payments to the Crooked Man for one reason or another, Bluebeard is mysterious that way :P

Calling Swineheart to save Georgie would've been a nice option, but we all know that Bigby wouldn't save him as a first thought... @pudding_pie would agree with this choice though!

  • I would be the first on the phone to call Swineheart in regards to Georgie. :3

  • I do but as a gamer, I felt it dragged too much; we met him, introduced ourselves and some players had fun destroying his club but it would have been MORE fun doing something else.

Eh, it was short for me; it was the longest but it needed a bit MORE. Not sure HOW but it was missing something.

  • I argue that the beginning of the fight (with the little fist fight) needed to be much longer; I was expecting the workbench and the crooked wheel to be used (like the Woodsman fight) in amongst the two of them trading blows...
