I know that my computer has low specs and I bought the game as a gamble knowing that. I would NEVER complain about it… more if it did not run.
However like I said, the game DOES RUN on my computer just fine. I could play it till the end if I had the time.
The problem occurs once I exit the game. Namely the next time I start the game, it says I do not have a license to the game.
Could you tell me exactly how does the licensing problem is related to my shortage of memory?

You can also try changing the game's resolution and graphics settings to a lower setting, and then continue the episode, and see if your issue is resolved.

Don't worry. I have swapped back to a hard drive with Windows 8 installed on it rather than Windows 8.1 and it works on this install so I will just use it to play.

Please delete the Login data from the registry.
First, open a command window.

I put the game disk inside of the slider, and press play. After a few seconds of loading, the game shows me this message; The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again. Download it? Its a disk!
Can you please clarify if you have used all four save slots in the game, or are currently using 3 or 4 slots for your save files? If so, please try deleting a save slot, then try starting the game again.

Yes I have tried almost all compatibility modes including 98/ME and all with run as administrator both on and off.
I have also applied all updates to windows via windows updates.

My apologies, please try the workaround for players using Mac OS 10 Yosemite, below:
1) In System Preferences, select Displays, then select Scaled - More Space to change the screen resolution to very detailed.
2) In System Preferences, select Dock, then deselect 'Automatically hide and show the dock', to be able to click on the bottom of the screen.
3) Start up the game and run it in windowed mode using the Mac shortcut (Command + F).
4) You should now be able to see the main menu now and change the screen resolution to one that fits the window.
