Will Snow reject Bigby before Fables ends?
Just an idea; maybe Willingham doesn't plan on reuniting them...
I'm also saying this because of 2 hints given by Ambrose in Volume 18's The Destiny Game story arc and Volume 19's narration during Bigby's fight with Prince Brandish.
At the end of The Destiny Game; a now grown up Ambrose is married to Lake (The Lady of the Lake), he tells her that he'll go and see his Dad tomorrow, to which Lake replies that it's a good idea and the two don't talk as often as they should, Ambrose replies that talking can be overrated...
After Bigby is shattered in Volume 19; Ambrose's narration states "And that's how my Dad died, want to know how we survived the following years without him?" Notice how he says 'following years' The time between Volume 19 and Bigby's resurrection is several months but not quite a year...
So what does this all mean? We know that Bigby must survive whatever comes next, but Ambrose doesn't make a mention of Snow.
I have 3 vague ideas as to what happens (these are all for after Bigby is restored):
- 1) Snow tells Bigby to leave because Fabletown still want revenge on him for his killings, but she doesn't go with him with the cubs (once again!).
- 2) In order for Snow to 'win' against Rose, some mysterious power similar to Hope (or perhaps Hope herself) tells Snow to reject Bigby and ensure he won't interfere, when Snow tells Bigby she no longer loves him etc. Bigby leaves for good, but Snow is left heartbroken.
- 3) Bigby chooses to leave after the war has been won, as he see's no reason to stay because he is once again a feared and hated monster.
Assuming these come to pass; I imagine either Winter or Ghost will find Bigby and tell him that Snow is in despair without him and he eventually returns to her. Or Snow manages to find him herself and explains the whole thing etc.
But there is still the 'following years' and 'I'll see my Dad tomorrow' in the back of my head. WHY would Bigby be away for years? And WHY would Ambrose mention Bigby specifically??
What do you think ppl??? (Please don't answer with 'We'll have to wait and see')

Bump for comic readers
Well, I have a few theories
1.) Snow is dead, which is why Ambrose only mentions Bigby
2.) Bigby is dead, and its the classic "Im Going to talk to my dad's gravestone" which I would find really stupid
Other than that I dont really know, Im just hoping everything works out and has a happy ending ;-;
Bigby can't die unless all his children die first; Snow dying would be a real shocker, but in the end it might be the 'ending' people are looking for
I want Snow and Bigby to have their Happily Ever After, just the two of them, for the foreseeable future; it was centuries after Bufkin's adventures that he finally grew old and died, I'm sure Snow will grow old and die too someday, but that would be a long way away.
Bigby on the other hand will remain the same age forever and will only pass once his 7 children have passed before him!
I just hope 148 includes something to do with Snow or Bigby, we haven't seen them since 146...
Yeah I forgot Bigby's fate. I still hope snow and him get a happy ending
I'm really looking forward to their reunion... I keep imagining it being something like Volume 4 after the Wooden Soldiers are defeated; except Snow runs into his arms crying and tells him she loves him, they kiss etc... Then Bigby gets arrested and put in a cell; to which Snow then spends the night with him!!!!! XD
I really really really hope that 148 has either Bigby or Snow in it!!! XD
Well for unknown reasons Willingham is making Snow a mute. I also dont think Bigby will be "arrested" but he will probably be banned from Fabletown
I wonder what he will do after his restoration, maybe Snow will keep him safe?
He can stay in Wolf Valley though, it's his land by right
This makes the most sense. Snow can lock Wolf Valley to herself, Bigby, the cubs, and Cindy.
Bump for the latest issue.
From what I have heard happens in Fables 148; it seems that Snow is now intending to harm Bigby thanks to a nightmare she has...
I am so confused about the Fables series now Bigby and Snow is now looking to be a thing of the past rather than a beautiful reunion...
Anyone wanna clarify or expand on what I'm saying?
I just hate that Ambrose never specifically says anything about Snow, and about seeing her. Maybe it won't be so much that they separate, but that Rose could very well possibly kill Snow in the end. Of course, I'm still banking on Rose dying instead, but you never know with Willingham.
I comment with doom and gloom like "Snow gonna kill Bigby" etc. So I'm not hyped up for when good stuff actually happens...
I want Snow to live and Rose die too; but Willingham is very good at giving us more questions than answers. Remember that two of Rose's possible Fates are she either dies or she kills Bigby and Snow; clearly Bigby is still alive so Rose must die (I hope)
That being said, if I wanted to see my Dad specifically, then I would say "I'm gonna go see my Dad blah blah" My imagining is that Bigby is angry that Ambrose is fated to be with Lake, and because of this Bigby distances himself from his son, but Snow is fine with it all etc.
In the end we'll just have to wait and see what happens... But 149 will be tense for BigbyxSnow (judging by what I have heard happens in 148...)
