I have the same problem:(
I apologize for the delayed response, and any difficulties this has caused you. Please try force closing the game app, and any other applications open and running in the background. Then restart your device (make sure to leave it turned off for 5-10 minutes to allow the cache to clear) and then reopen the app and attempt to download the episode again. If you still experience the issue, please also try connecting to a different WiFi network connection, and see if you receive a better connection with our servers, and are able to download the episodes successfully.
Mike, this is the exact problem I brought up in my thread

Please don't recommend re-downloading episodes, as unless the user's device has ROOT access, the downloaded and installed(but not recognized as installed) files cannot be removed and so could potentially fill the internal memory, effectively bricking the device (Full internal memory means you can't install anything, can't receive SMS etc etc.
Hi BaldMonk,
While you can't delete individual episodes from inside the game app at this time, you can delete data from the Settings menu without rooting your device. To do this, start at your Home screen and select device Settings, then Apps, then WD S2. From here you will see a couple options, including 'Clear Data' whcih will remove all DLC episodes from your device. Also, you will see 'Move to SD Card', if you have an SD card installed. This option will allow you to move the base application, if you need to free up some space. Please also note, that if you've done this and wish to move your data back to internal storage, this button changes to 'Move to device storage' and accomplishes exactly that.
In this case, the 'Clear Data' option is what you'd be looking for to remove all data that did not install properly. This option exists on all of our games as well (actually, all Android applications), and will remove all game data, except the base application and save files.
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the reply. I know all about how to clear data and such, and I've tried it since(didn't before because I didn't want to lose my save games), but it certainly didn't seem to erase the temp files that weren't installed the second time around... As if they weren't there according to the app, but they clearly were taking up space(could see them still in the temp folder via ROOT).
Not only that, the average user not only probably has no idea about the feature, they shouldn't have to resort to doing so. Don't you agree?
Also, why are you suggesting moving the app to the SD-Card when in almost all of Mike's responses he makes a seemingly important statement that the game is not designed to run from the SD-Card.
Look, I completely understand issues cropping up with games, especially on Android where there are so many different devices to cater to, but this issue is far reaching, and there is absolutely no acknowledgement of there being a widespread problem from Telltale, and certainly no information to tell us you're working to fix this.
I apologise if I'm coming across as a "problem customer", but I paid for a product and it's not performing as it should and I'm not getting any kind of information regarding the issue.
I'm having this same problem from ep 3-5. It's not on when we're paying so much for then game!
I have the same exact problem. Purchased the season pass, downloaded and played episodes 1-3 fine, when it was time to download episode 4, i download it, but when i try to install and brings me back to downloading the episode again.
I can see that this is happening to A LOT of people, so this might be a bug. Isn't it time for you guys to take a look at the problem and see if you can fix this with an update? Simply put, all of the troubleshooting steps you guys are telling us DO NOT WORK AT ALL. It is really frustrating to not finish a great game, especially if it's only because of a few bugs.

I apologize for the delayed response. If you are experiencing any issues downloading or installing episodes onto your device, please make sure that you have Force Closed any and all applications running in the background while attempting to download and install the episode. Please also try resetting your wireless internet access point, and turning your WiFi on your device Off, and back On again, before attempting to download and install the episode again.
If you are still not able to successfully download/install the episode, can you please clarify what Android device you are currently playing on, and what Android OS version your device is currently updated to?
Same problem only with episode 4 and 5...
I agree with jabberrookie, episode 4 and 5 need an update to be functionnal.
My apologies, can you please clarify which device in particular you are experiencing this issue with? Android or Kindle? Also, which model/generation in particular, and which OS version is it currently updated to?
Hi TelltaleMike,
Can't you just tell your game developers to make an update wherein it would be possible for us to save the episodes (2-5) on the sd card? this would help other people who seriously want to play the game but don't have the internal memory available to install the episodes. this has been a problem with all of your games (WD, The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones, etc), why not just give us an option to save episodes on SD card? Not all people can afford phones with high internal memory storage.
I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy S5, Android Kitkat. I have a 32GB sd card wherein i put my games.
And no, please no more canned responses. You sound like a robot.
Unfortunately the game was only designed to function on the internal memory of a device. In order to save room, you can delete Episodes 2-5 from within the game, as they are the larger files taking up the space. You can delete them by opening the game application, then going to Help & Options, then Manage Downloads. In there, you can choose to delete Episodes 2-5 in order to free up some space on your device. (Note that your game saves are stored internally within the base game application, along with Episode 1, and deleting the other episodes won't harm your save files.)
