do coupon codes expire

I just recently go the coupon codes for monkey island and never have gotten a oupon code here before and was wondering if the coupon codes expire because I was waiting to use them later on? thanks.

    The ones given out for the Monkey Island launch will expire in early June 2010. Different coupons will have different expiration rules, however.

    Those are good until December 31, 2009.

    I probably should have been more specific because those are the monkey island codes I was talking about, so december 31 then for them?
