What year would you want season 2 to be set in?

If season 1 is set in 1986, maybe season 2 could be set 5 years later in 1991?

  • Why 5 years later?

Why not just set Season 2 immediately after Season 1?

I personally want Season 2 to be set during the Winter of 1986 so we can see Bigby in his signature trench coat XD

Around the same time as Season 1. Maybe a year or two later, but no more that 5 years.

  • Agreed. If they make multiple Seasons of TWAU, then they can play around with all the time between Season 1 and the first issue of the comics.

(TWAU is set in 1986 and Fables begins in 2002)

  • They would have to make 2 protagonists (Bigby and Cindy) to do multiple seasons.

  • Not necessarily... Cindy would be a great protagonist but I would choose Bigby over her any day.

Plus Cindy would be restricted to covert missions where no one can know that she is a spy in Fabletown.

  • 1986, Starts on New Years Eve, goes into 1987

  • Yeah but Season 1 is set in June of 1986... I don't want the game to skip 6 months :(

  • Bigby has a lot more restrictions now. Bigby can chase only 1 or 2 fables, can't have another major case to solve for quite a while, etc. And I did say both Bigby and Cindy. Remember that Bigby assigns all of Cindy's missions before the comics.

  • And the fact that Bigby can't do anything than.

  • Im fine with a small time skip, I mean trouble isnt going to start right after the crooked man

  • I still want Nerissa/Faith to be explored though... There were unanswered questions in the end.

That being said I'll be happy with anything TellTale does with TWAU! I'd be even more happy, oddly enough, if they went non-canon with it either for a DLC or maybe a whole Season XD

So long as we get to see Bigby's trench coat and a few new characters like Boy Blue etc. then I will be satisfied enough :P

  • But Cindy would have to be somewhere other than Fabletown... There can't be that many Fables living outside of a Fabletown to create a new cast...

Bigby hasn't had a major case for a while, but the Fables do tend to lose track of time:

    • Bigby has to remind Snow that it is the 21st century in Volume 3
    • Bigby claims Snow acquired the position of Deputy Mayor 'recently' in Volume 1 when it's been about 16 years since she got the job

Maybe Bigby can have another major case or two before the events of fables :/

  • Bigby's Tench coat is needed. If season 2 has a it, 15/10

  • Which one though? :P

He had that hideous dark green one in Volume 1 and a really nice brown leather-looking one from Volume 2 onwards...

(I love how Feral Bigby wears his old clothes but all ripped up and destroyed, I wonder how he got them? Probably stole them from the store where he got them in the first place... but he wears the coat as well! XD)

  • 16 years you can definitely say is recent though, considering they arrived in New York while it was still called New Amsterdam. TWAU Season 1 had a major case dealing with a criminal organization (probably the only one considering Bigby's words in the first arc). Anything that can be considered right after must either have Cindy or be minor through Bigby's perspective.

  • There are actually plenty of Fables outside of Fabletown... the Chinese Fables and the Russian ones each had their own "Fabletown," for instance. No reason there can't be others.

  • No more than 5 years later. I miss Bigby, so I hope work on a new season starts soon!

  • I think TTG won't develop S2, at least until Fables comics ends (February-March). But still, we haven't received any official news from them about their plans on TWAU new Season or at least DLC since Episode 5 is out, that's not good at all :(

  • Think Fables 150 will come out in March now...

Even though it is being called the end of Fables; Willingham has stated in past interviews that he will keep the door open to the Fables universe in case he wants to return to it in the future. Some of his writing team actually want to continue writing Novels for the series even after issue 150 because he likes their ideas!! XD

So yeah, let's hope for the best. I'd like to see more Fables too ;)

  • Last Story of Beauty and Bliss gives MORE Story to tell imo...

Even at the end of it all, you can argue Willingham has given us these Last Stories IN CASE he never returns to Fables.

I would like Bigby and Snow to appear together once more in the future :')

  • I'd like to see it set maybe betweeen 6 months ~ 1 year after the end of the first season.

  • I hope Willingham won't kill Snow in 149-150. It'll be terrifying.
And I think Bigby will get restored once he sees her (in 149).

  • I want Snow and Bigby to have the most beautiful and intimate reunion possible in 149 cuz it's been postponed for about 20 issues!!!

But with the ending of 148 signifying that Snow will kill Bigby... I don't know maybe some make-up sex is the answer XP

1989 would be pretty interesting, because that's the year when Ghostbusters 2 comes out, and is the year before the awesomeness of the 90's decade starts.

  • Depending on ending of 148 and 149 cover it's really interesting what happens next. After reading 148 I started to think that cover of next issue isn't just a dream or illusion.

  • I have no idea anymore...

From what I've heard about the ending to 148, it seems that Snow is planning on killing Bigby to protect their cubs...

Although Snow telling Cole that it will be all over when help arrives might not be so she can fight Bigby, but so that she can fight Rose to save Bigby...

  • If Snow kills Bigby or vice versa then I won't read the last issue...

Willingham can't take away their beautiful relationship for 20 issues and then get our hopes up only to crush them again, NOT with Bigby and Snow!

I totally agree with you. Snow and Bigby are the main characters of Fables, so if Bill already decided to kill one of them or both in last 2 issues, comics readers, such as you, me and others, will be REALLY pissed off.

Then again I'm the person that wants their proper reunion to be (for our eyes) them waking up the next morning cuddling XD

Naked of course, but strategically placed things block our view like in Super Team XP

  • There hasn't been full-on nudity since Volume 6 I think (although Princess Alder and Prince Alder are always naked they are technically plant people :P)

Then again Werewolves of the Heartlands had pretty shameless nudity (and Bigby's dick)...

  • Werewolves of the Heartlands wasn't that great tbh. The art was not good at all and the story is a follow on from War Stories in Volume 5.

There is a lot of nudity (the Werewolves take off their clothes before they transform and boobs/genitalia are clearly visible for both sexes)
