Guys, I said the stereotype is for him being a prick cop, of course there are little variations, like him being a security guard or Chloe just being involved in some drug business and not actually dealing herself.
I think it's a ok game so far, but I honestly didn't enjoy it that much.
The dialogue is very cringe-worthy at times, and it has this ann… moreoying 'slang' to it.
Also, basically every character represents a stereotype:
* David, the asshole paranoid cop who was in combat and thinks that gives him an excuse to be a total dick
* Max, the silent, introvert girl who was superpowers
* Chloe, the cool, drug-dealing girl with rough language who turns out to have family problems etc
You can go on and on.
Now, what I liked is the story, it's an interesting setup so far. Also, the time rewind feature is kinda cool and good integrated, but takes away from the feeling a bit (but not too much).
The choice system is also a big plus, Telltale could really learn something from that. But here you have to note again that most options are kind of the same when you talk to someone (chat, not choices).
Overall, I would give this Episode… [view original content]
Um, I'm pretty sure the characters are supposed to appear stereotypical.
The game will duly invert this: the bitchy girl is nicer than she seems/has mental health issues, the pure christian has secrets, the cop will probably end up helping us.

While you're right over the clichés, but I am starting to get worried we'll soon be in the year where it's impossible to write a character w… moreho isn't a cliché. That can even be coming sooner than expected. I do like Max's character though.
Mind you, I do actually agree with your points despite what I just said.
I remember them saying that while episode 1, before release, was complete, episode 2 was like 50% done and episode 4 or 5 is 5 - 10% done. So, it's pretty much the same as with Telltale.
I imagine they don't just work on the next episode at Telltale anyway, but just leave the brunt of the work.
Edit: Hold on, people are actually playing it . . .? Guess that clashes with what I said, potentially, though I swear they did state what I did before release. Unless they've just sped ahead with episode 2 and got it finished quickly.
Episodes will be released in a 6-7 week time frame so despite an episode being already made, the developers won't release it until said time… more frame, which is kind of sucky. Telltale makes an episode live, but these guys have almost all of the episodes completed and are just choosing to release them this way.
Exactly. Back in my Comm Tech class (damn I've been talking about that a lot lately), my teacher showed us a film about how there's really no originality left. All there's left is inspiration in which we take to modify with our own imagination.
I really enjoyed this. Not sure about the overarching story though, for the moment.
I really hope they do something interesting with Victoria's character.
It's a hacked version I think. Life is Strange is mostly all done from what I've heard. It's just being finished and released in parts.
I'd rather Telltale went back to the way TWDS1 was done. The series since then have really bogged down into a mess. 1 episode every 2/3 months is way too long. Both Tftab and GoT were out before Christmas remember and we've only just got GoT episode 2 (in a poor state) and no date for TFTB 2 yet.

So I got this game, I found it abit boring but I can see there will be a story line focused around the occult further down the line so that … moreintrigues me. Max is dull as dishwater and a sociopath, chloes a bigger loser than max.
Chloes licence plate reads TWIN PEAKS so thats intresting I like lynch so if the game has those types of influences I will be intrested in later eps.
Whats with the love for the soundtrack it was more boring than maxs personality and that is some achievement. The song chloe listened to was that supposed to be punk? Maybe her taste in music was supposed to clarify that shes a total poser
The first ep is called chrysilis so I guess that means max will transform (hopefully into someone I can give a damn about)
The game could benefit from some more puzzles as well, I think this would have been much better if it had all been released at once its overall abit dry at the moment and the story hasn't started at all… [view original content]
I didn't really like it...I found it quite.....boring.
I wanted to turn it off halfway through it was just so 'American' and stupid. It w… moreas only in the ending where it really gripped me, that's when I wanted to find out what happened next other than that it was really bland. Its very cliché and annoying however this is just my opinion. I have high hopes for episode 2.
Bull. Don't underestimate human capabilities. Literature has been around for at least 4000 years, Trust me, If that was to happen, It would have happened by now.

Basically, what I meant by 'there's a reason things are cliche' in an earlier post is that things are cliche because those ideas can work. Seeing as there's little originality, if any at all, these days . . . it really just comes down to how a writer presents their ideas. How things are written and such, as there are bound to be similarities to another work no matter how much a writer might strive for originality.
I really enjoyed this. Not sure about the overarching story though, for the moment.
I really hope they do something interesting with Victoria's character.
I was thinking: Kate gets pregnant from the ----SPOILER---- porno and depending on the plant she will either decide to have the child and Ma… morex will adopt it or she will abort the fetus.
That wasn't serious, but it's the first place my imagination went. Where's my medication?
Ive just remembered a game that I played ages ago that uses a time travel mechanic that is a little like LIS I think there was only 1 ending but you used time travel to change social outcomes, drastically affecting their personalities in the future it was called Time Hollow and it was on the ds its only a short game but very fun. Check it out!

The nature of Max's of power has peaked my interest and I decided to go do some investigating, even with little possible findings. But I think I might have already discovered the nature of her power. I highly believe it's Native American oriented. I've found some things to back up this theory.
Max's science teacher as you all know is highly knowledgeable of Arcadia Bay's history. And she mentioned Native Americans lived here long ago. And one thing I notice in choice based games is that some choices are more informative than others. If you choose "Blackwell is that old?", the teacher will explain there's lots of energy flowing around here, powerful energy. Plus she says there were a lot of lore and tales in the history.
The cliff seems have lots of energy especially, I mean we had two visions and we end up there in the current timeline. If you look at the edge, near the broken tree, there's a bunch of stones stacked on top of each other. Chloe says she doesn't remember it but it seems to be there for a long time. Just because she doesn't remember doesn't mean it was built when she was absent from the land. It could've possibly been there before she was born and she might've overlooked it or is missing a small fragment of her memory related to it. Now. Picture the cliff centuries ago, instead of students around the fire it's Natives doing their spirit rituals or whatever they do. Let's not forget the glyphs behind the building reminded Chloe of the wind (Tornado?) The cliff seems to have the most focus of energy there. And when Chloe and Max engraved their names into the tree, unknowingly, it created a tie between them and the area. I mean it's not coincidental that Max's power activates as soon as she sees Chloe get shot. These two formed a spiritual connection to themselves and the land.
Chloe's necklace looks a bit tribal, and a lot of natives used to wear some kind of animal bone as pendants for their necklaces.
Visions and Spirit Walking also supports this theory. Max often had visions of the tornado in a few days. If I remember correctly, I believe native shamans, or elders, were well versed in seeing visions, often to warn their people of danger. Which looks like Max must do now. And during the visions and the current timeline Max walked through the same path, in a way of Spirit Walking. As you know, Spirit Walking is a supernatural thing that natives used to seek guidance in their path. And if you notice, there was a deer in the current timeline and the "nightmare" Max had. Except in the vision, the deer was a spirit. It served Max as a guide in her Spirit Walk, leading her right to the newspaper. And look at the Native American Zodiac diagram below vvvvvvv
A DEER'S IN IT! I don't think it's Max's spirit animal though, because that would contradict her birthday. It could be Chloe's since she grabbed Max's shoulder during the vision. And look, Chloe takes the lead when going up the hill, and is the first one at the bench. Just like how the deer goes up the hill and is the first one at the bench.
So I'm fairly certain, Max's power is Native American. And if we end up talking to that Science Teacher more about Native American history in Arcadia Bay, that will give me more confidence in this theory.
Interesting stuff Tobi. I'll have to take this into consideration when playing the rest of the episodes.
Max is very strange. She has this amazing power and she's able to keep so calm about it, even in her reflection time when she is by herself. I would be flippin the fuck out. Also questioning life's greatest mysteries. Is all magic real? Are the stories from legends/Fable lore/Religion true? Hopefully as the game progresses and Max learns about her powers we'll see something more like that.

I've played the first episode, and I'm just saying that it is worth playing if you like games such as Heavy Rain and The Wlking Dead. I loved the episode.
I dont think that its a coincidence that the butterfly at the beginning is the exact samt colour as chloes hair either. in alot of cultures butterflys represent reincarnation and death/birth and can even travel between plains, chloe drags you into it and I think her spirit helps you through in hindsight like her spirit can time travel with max or something it makes sense in my head but im struggling to explain

Welcome back man. We missed JOOO, and your Kenny love ^_^.
Haha i think most people were more thankful for m departure than sad tbh.
Oh well.At least I get to annoy them by returning.
(A bit like Kenny did to me in season two, I suppose. :P )
Welcome back Flog.
The whole season is for sale for 19.99 at the PlayStation store . Buying it Monday.
Oh look at you such a smarty, yep, you got me, I'm the dumbest type of person since I watch Pewdiepie.
How...How....What? XD
I'm not sure...

Ugh, that's such a trope. Hope it isn't true, but good theory.
A trope? Seriously? What would you have her have?....
Radiation poisoning.
...That butterfly came out from a nuclear power plant. :P
Yep, everything after the butterfly was just rapid deteriation of her brain. RIP Maxine!
RIP in Peace.
