The Fable Connection: Part 2 (Valentine's Day Thread)

Since Valentine's Day is just a few days away - I figured, "why not create another thread celebrating the occasion?" Holidays like this are usually one day anyway, so let's try and have some fun beforehand!

Similar to the thread I've made last year, your goal is to simply detail how you will spend your V-Day with any Fable of your choosing. (either from TWAU or the Fables comics)

Here are some ideas/questions that might spark your romanticism, if any of you have trouble on coming up with a Valentine's Day plan:

Are you going to make them breakfast before they wake up?

Are you going to take him/her out to go see a Mundy movie?

Are you going to make him/her a Valentine's Day card or poem?

Which place do you think would be the most romantic spot for you two?

What's the most romantic thing you think would be appropriate for them to hear?

Where in the world would you take them? (if you decide New York isn't the place you want you and your Fable lover to spend the day at)

FYI: Like my previous thread, you are allowed to include same-sex relationships - if you wish.

  • I woke up early this morning to see her, the woman of my dreams sleeping beside me. Last night was one of the best nights of my life, I told her I loved her, that I wanted to be with her forever; she told me the same thing.

One thing led to another as it always does and now I'm waking up beside her once again; she looks so beautiful when she sleeps, I can see a faint smile tugging at the corners of her blood red lips, maybe she knows where she is...

I get up slowly so as not to wake her and go downstairs; not even 20 minutes later do I return to our bedroom with a tray holding her breakfast. I set it down on the dresser and sit on he bed; running my fingers down the length of her pale arm. I move closer to her and kiss her soft cheek, then I whisper in her ear "Snow, wake up"

She wakes with a small grunt and looks at me with those crystal blue eyes; I told her once that her eyes are as beautiful as the ocean, she thought it was cute. She sits up and embraces me, burying her face into the crook of my neck, whispering "Morning, honey"

I smooth her raven hair behind her shoulders and pull her in for a kiss that only those in the truest of love could share. It was our first Valentine's Day together, and we wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else.

A/N: Came up with this on the spot, how is it?

  • I'm going to overdo it for the lulz

  • Then Bigby comes in and yells, "What the hell, Haz? You're going to regret the day you've ever slept with her!"

And so ends the Valentine's Day tale of HazzatheMan: a sweet beginning that came to a violently-abrupt end. Boy, that escalated quickly.

XD Kidding aside, I loved it. Absolutely perfect!

All that malarkey aside, thank you for the comment; it was nice to write something (however small it was) when I've been so down lately :D

Chad (who is me, pie) attempts to flip the heart-shapped pancakes for the third time. A bit crispy on the edges but they are a perfect golden-brown. A little syrup, butter and a side of bacon. Extra Crispy. Chad places the food on a tray and adds a small vase with a single red rose and a card. Climbing up the stairs, he calls out to his special girl.

Holly hears her name, rubs her eyes and is surprised to have breakfast in bed. Sliding the tray before her, Chad takes this moment to hunt down his gift. He bought them two weeks ago; the flowers were picked up moments before making breakfast. As Holly eats her meal, Chad hides the gifts behind and shocks Holly with an enormous stuffed Bear, box of Chocolates, 12 red Roses, bottle of Wine and a CD with their favorite love songs. (for later, too, that is.) ;)

After breakfast, Chad and Holly take a trip to the beach. The city is no place to celebrate Valentine's day. Hand in hand, they take a stroll at the beach. She and Chad stop to pick up seashells and dip their toes in the cold water. For lunch, Chad takes Holly to a Sushi restaurant just inches from the beach. They dine on various sushi dishes; during lunch, Chad surprises Holly with another gift. A diamond necklace.

Chad and Holly would come back to their hotel, sleep off their meal and awake within two hours from their nap. The movie would start at five. It was some cheesy mundy movie but Holly was determined to see something all romantic. Chad was not too sure; he'd heard about this movie but if his Holly wanted to see it, so be it. Fifty Shades of Gray. Nice, thought Chad.

After the movie (which to no surprise, Holly hated it) the couple dine at a fine Italian restaurant. After dinner, Chad and Holly head back to the beach. Chad builds a fire and lays a blanket down beside it. He holds Holly in his arms, the flames dancing against the wind. 'I love you so much, Holly. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in this town.' He and Holly.....well, I can't say the rest but we all know...;)

  • Chad places the foot on a tray

Yep, I'm sure Holly the troll would love a freshly dismembered foot for Valentine's Day :P

    Fifty Shades of Gray

  • I awoke to the intense smell of axe body spary and Uptown Funk playing in the bathroom. Stretching my lower back, I notice the many vases full of red and peach colored roses. Balloons shapped like hearts float near the headboard. For a guy that did not do 'romantic' things, Gren sure knew how to make things, well, romantic. A trail of rose petals lead to the bathroom. Pulling my robe up, I head to the bathroom. Gren greets me with a kiss and hands me a huge red box.

'Open it, silly.' Gren adds gel to his hair. 'Something you've been wanting....'

I open the present and find a brand new tablet, box of chocolates and a card. A couple holding hands is on the front and a sappy, yet heart felt note written by Gren, is inside. I embrace him with a hug, kiss and thanks.

'Get dressed. I have plans for us today.'

Gren and I go to a diner. We have a nice, light breakfast of toast, scrambled eggs and grits. After breakfast, we take a stroll in the park. The weather is cool and windy. We see other couples walking arm in arm. I notice a nearby swing and like a child, I run and beg Gren to push me. He does so, although the entire time we're laughing and making jokes. It was nice, though. :)

After an hour in the park, we return to the apartment and watch a few sappy mundy movies; Gren surprises me with a vast selection of romantic movies. Sleepless in Seattle, The Notebook, Ghost, Casablanca and my ultimate classic, Dirty Dancing. Gren pops the popcorn, pours the champagne and we cuddle on the sofa and watch the movies. He begins to play with my hair. I love when he does this. :3

After all movies have been watched, Gren insists I get ready and put on my finest attire. He is taking me to the Gramercy Tavern in New York. I adore that place; one of our first restaurants to eat at during a date. Gren escorts me down the streets and our waiter takes us to a tiny booth in the corner. So many couples feast and drink their wine. We order a HUGE plate of Spagehtti and relive the famous Spagehtti scene from the movie Lady and the Tramp. Sounds silly, yes but Gren was like that; it was hilarious seeing red sauce stick in the patch of hair under his lip. :3

After dinner, we take yet another stroll in the park. We head back to the apartment JUST as the rain begins. I lay on the bed and Gren gives me a wonderful massage. Those huge, Grendel hands are wonders! We drink some wine, share the chocolates and are lost in the sultry voice of R Kelly singing from my ipod.

The rest, well....that's between us. ;)

  • A V-day to spend with any Fable/Twau character of my choosing? Oh dear, time for some super self indulgent, self insert shit. You created a monster, oh well, I rarely EVER do Self inserts X Cannon let alone OC X Cannon, but oh well this sounds fun.

My cheeks turn redder and redder as I slowly approach the mirror before me. To my chest I am clutching a heart shape box which inside contained dozen of chocolates, and a bouquet of crimson roses. My heart races as I finally face the mirror. So far I only see my reflection, which was good... I think? It would certainly be harder to do this if she was in that mirror, watching me.

I gently send the goodies down, taking a few seconds to rearrange them to look presentable before swallowing the lump in my throat. I take one last deep breath, no turning back now I suppose.

"Bloody Mary," my voice is rather dry and horse sounding thanks to my nervousness. "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary,... Bloody Mary." I am barely able to say her name one last time before I bolt from the bathroom to my room, like the nervous little shit I am. Right away I more or less jump onto my bed and burried my blushing face into my seemingly endless stack of blankets and pillows.

It takes a half an hour until I can finally work up the nerve to go back into the bathroom and not just hide in my room the whole time like the wimpy girl I am. Slowly but surely I managed to inch my way into the bathroom. Everything looked the same, same sink, shower, mirror, and toilet. It showed no signs of any change expect the flowers and chocolates are gone.

"Good." I say out loud to myself as I sign in relief. "At least she got them..." I also felt a little relieved that she wasn't waiting in there for me, wanting an explanation... I never was good with talking.

To celebrate my little victory I planned to spend the rest of the day playing video games, maybe replay Catherine or do yet another start a new game on Dragon age origins for the hundredth time... What can I say? I adore the city elf story and I currently lack the third game (Hoping that changes soon) plus I needed to take my mind off things, I most likely just made a downright fool of myself. Well video games cure all as I always say! I open the door, expecting my usual friend of solitude and peace... and sometimes my dog Dash who now had a habit of sleeping on my bed. Not that I minded of course, he was a tiny little chihuahua who was the only man I needed in my life.

My eyes widen, I almost end up taking a step back in surprise... but somehow I'm still frozen.

She smiles her signature cocky smirk at me, gorgeous wild eyes looked at me. I can get no words out, just a long and confused sounding "uhhhhh..."

"You didn't really think you would get away with just giving me flowers and candy, did you, Cass?" Bloody Mary asked getting up from my bed.

"I...I..." I stutter, my face turns redder then the red flannel sweater I'm wearing. She gets up and walks up to me. I can't move, my legs are made of stone and my vocal chords are gone.

"Did you really think that?" she reaches out a finger and strokes my cheek, it sends shivers down my spine. "Because you sure as hell aren't."

    XXX

In the name of Andrastate (Dragon age ref) what did I do? (Shoves face in pillow) This is a MAJORE guilty pleasure for me, shipping myself/OCs with cannons. If I ever do this I mostly keep it to myself in my head... Then again I did tend to gush about Bloody Mary on my tumblr....

  • So yeah..

My name is Gordan, Cinderella and I knew each other for a while, we're both spies. Over the years we began to develop a relationship. A relationship that began to surface clearly on the Valentines Day. I could tell the forbidden things that happened on the luscious night...but... Ya know what, screw it. Here's what happened.

Me and Cindy decided to stop by Paris since we we're in the area. Coming from a long and stressful mission for Fabletown, we needed a bite to eat.. and maybe something else.

We went to this fine five star restaurant downtown, right under the Eiffel Tower. It was beautiful and the tower looked even better at night. The perfect night to make a move on the spy I fell in love with all these years. I had a gift for her, but I wanted to wait until we get back to the hotel and give it to her. Heh, "Give it to her.."

Anyway we finished up our dinner had a nice conversation on the way back. When we arrived began to flirt with each other on our way inside. Well mostly me who was doing all the flirting. Cindy keep reminding me that employee's weren't to date when she knew damn well we often hit on each other when we go on missions together. That Blonde, beauty, that dangerous woman that I am ever so in love with. I'm scared to make a move with the fear in mind of her rejecting my true feelings for her. It is worth a try, I'm ready to get my heart broken by this Fable, possibly.

We entered the elevator, I pushed the button that would take us up to the top floor. It moved slowly up as we both gazed out the window overlooking the Eiffel Tower. I tried to place my hand on top of hers but, she slowly took hers off of mines...

    "Gordan.." Cindy whispered.

"I know the feelings you're harboring for me. I have an idea exactly how you feel about me, and to be honest.. I feel the same way.. about you." Cindy turning seductively towards Gordan.

"Well, know that we are at an agreement..." Gordan carefully unbuttoning his shirt..

"There´s something about you, Gordan and I´m finding it impossible to stay away..."

"I'm your Bond and you're my Bond girl.....Cindy..."

"I knew you would say, something like that Gordan.. Knowing what kind of girl I am, I admire you're bravery"

    "Cindy..." Gordan whispered.

    "Yes, Gordan..."

"Do you want me to kiss you.."

    "Yes..." she replied softly

    "Where.." Gordan asked.. seductively.

"Everywhere....!" Then Cindy pulled him in and he began to kiss her from the neck and worked his way all the way down to her.... DING The elevator went. They have arrived on their floor and he stopped kissing as they were about to be spotted by a couple.

Gordan fastened his shirt as the couple looked at him.

"You people act like you never had elevator sex before.." Then walked off with Cindy...
