What Fables would you have enjoyed to meet in TWAU or Fables ?

edited February 2015 in The Wolf Among Us

Hi People,
Willingham introduces many fables in an original way in his comics but with all the folklore there is in the world it's no surprise that some Fable are absent from his books.
And in TWAU we don't meet all the characters of the Fable's comic either, so I wonder what Fables would you have wished to be present in both ?

For myself I would have been interested in the introduction of Marlaguette in some stories : it could have portrayed character with a special connection and history with Bigby.

  • I would've enjoyed seeing Robin Hood. I don't read the comics, but I hear he does not appear in them. Perhaps Robin Hood could be a kleptomaniac.

  • Actually he does (though not as Robin Hood, but more like Robin of Locksley [Robin Hood's actual name]. He is killed in the Last Castle Arc while fighting against the Adversary's forces.

  • I would love to hang out with Boy Blue, Pinocchio and Flycatcher...

They read comic books and are a pretty chill bunch :D

  • I would love to see fables from the Peter Pan lore. I think Willingham's original plan was to have Pan be the adversary (and Hook being a hero), but he wasn't available to him because Pan was not in Public Domain in Great Britain.

Wikipedia does say Hook and Pan make a brief appearance in 1001 nights of Snowfall (though I can't seem to remember), but a full-fledged appearance in TWAU would be a nice treat.

  • They appear in in the first story of that Novel...

Geppetto also appears in the flashback picture in Volume 1 :/

  • Speaking of 1001 nights I wish there was Sheherazade even if Snow already took her place.

She is in the Novel, Snow talks to her before she leaves the Sultan's palace and tells her that he likes stories...

One thing in that Novel though, if Snow is gone for 3 years, why didn't Bigby search for her??? :/

  • Where do they appear in the first story Hazza? I'm assuming you're talking about Snow killing the dwarves (while learning swords from Charming) story, and flicked through it, but I don't seem to find Pan and Hook anywhere.

Would be helpful if you could point out which page(scene) of that first story.

  • Or maybe they appear in the flashbacks of Volume 1?

I know they both appear somewhere in Fables, Pan and Hook are fighting...

  • Maybe Snow sent a letter to Fabletown saying she's okay? I mean considering where she was staying phoning Fabletown would probably a stretch, but I don't think the Sultan banned her from writing a letter or anything (I'm guessing he was content with her stories).

  • Phoning Fabletown?!

Dude, 1001 Nights of Snowfall takes place in the middle of the 18th century!! :P

Telephones didn't come about until at least the mid 19th century...

All of them. Specifically though, I'd love to meet Snow, Bigby, and their cubs. Snow, mostly. I love her so much <3

EDIT: I think I misunderstood the question at hand. I'd love to see all character in the game that are in the comics, and vice-versa. They're all great and amazing and even the evil ones are fun to meet. Snow though, is the one I'd want to meet the most in real life. She's freakin' epic, in my opinion.

Lol, hence the reason I said it would be a stretch to pull that off.

But given all the strange magic items Totenkinder gives to Fables (such as Cindy, at a price though), it could have been possible for Snow to have gotten a magic item which acts like a phone between Fabletown and her. So it does not have to be modern phone (since like you've said, phone weren't created yet)

Probably not likely, but if Snow wanted to take precaution, it could have been a possibility.
