Battle Royale - TWAU edition - Round 1

Little battle Royale between The Wolf Among Us characters. There will be 5 Battle Royales in total and each one will feature a different set of characters against other characters. Credit @Clemenem for making the original in the Game of Thrones section.

  1. Bloody Mary VS Snow (expert fencer in comics for those of you who didn't know)
  2. Bluebead VS Beast (human form)
  3. Gren (human form) VS Georgie
  4. Crane VS Crooked Man
  5. Toad VS Collin :P

    Hmm, time for nerdiness to shine through!!!

    1. I say Bloody Mary; sure Snow is one of the best fencers in Fabletown, but Mary can create clones and use mirrors as portals. She could easily catch Snow off-guard...
    2. I'd say Beast; Bluebeard is also a top fencer, but Beast is strong even as a human, I bet one lucky punch would be enough to turn the tide of that fight...
    3. Interesting, I'd say Gren; simply because when he punched Woody, it looked like Woody 'felt' that punch you know? I'm sure Georgie would give a good show, but my money is on Gren...
    4. Crooked Man easily; Crane is a coward...
    5. Colin :P He'd just crush Toad...

    Oh this sounds like a fun one! :D

    1. My money is still on Mary. Love you, Snow but you wouldn't have a chance in hell against her.
    2. I'd have to say Beast. Bluebeard knows fencing but Beast is huge in comparison to Bluebeard. I bet with enough force, he'd be able to push Bluebeard to the ground.
    3. Wow, let's see here....I'd hate to cross either in a dark alley but my money is on Gren. Georgie fights dirty but I can see Gren pulling out a knife and cutting Georgie's face up.
    4. Crooked Man, although Crane wasn't too far behind.
    5. Collin. Give him enough Whiskey and cigarettes and he's good to go. :D

    Interesting comments and character combo.

    1. Even though Bloody Mary can make copies of herself and portal through mirrors, Mary's only chance of surviving is in a room full of mirrors because Snow White has the Vorpal Sword, one swing and the opponent is beheaded (dead). Interesting how people forget the minor details. Basically this could be considered a tie.
    2. One strong punch from Beast even in human form would be able to knock Bluebeard to the ground.
    3. Gren has a strong punch, while Georgie is pretty resistant. I would still bet on Gren all things considered.
    4. Crane is a whimp, hence Crooked Man would win.
    5. It can go both ways but Colin would win more times than Toad, mostly considering Colin has hooves.

    Snow uses it once in the whole comic! In Volume 1, and even then she just carries it on her shoulder...

    Episode 3 in the book of assigned magical items. It sometimes might be hard to see. Here's a link to where it's shown clearly on these forums https://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/65217/post-ep-3-evidence-major-spoilers . Remember what Bufkin said about magical items not in the armory, "Every magical item not contained in the armory is assigned to someone in this book."

    Still, Snow never uses it in the comics, she only carries it in Volume 1... Boy Blue does use it though! :P

    True that Snow doesn't use it, probably because she never had the chance to use it in the main comic (we still don't know if she used it before the game). Boy Blue only used it in the Homelands.

    They're both weak. I think The Crooked Man was less afraid though.

    • Bloody Mary. Snow does not have a snowball's chance beating her.
    • Beast. Bluebeard comes off like a macho toughie but he's a tool and Beast can easily take him down.
    • Since Gren is in human form, I'd have to give it to Georgie. Gren is tough but Georgie is sneaky and can take Gren without him knowing he's there.
    • Crooked Man. Crane's a p***y.

    1. Bloody Mary, she's an experienced killer after all.
    2. Beast, because he's a beast.
    3. Gren. Georgie looks pretty scrawny and Gren looks kinda like a guy who'd beat you in a dark alley at night xD
    4. If Crane wouldn't be such a coward and would fight, I think he'd win. Crooked Man is all broken and thin as hell, even Crane could get his ass down.
    5. Colin would just roll over Toad xD

    Setting is important... is anyone armed? Are there any reflective surfaces? I'll vote considering a completely neutral plain for them to fight in, Everyone's unarmed.

    1. Even if there's no mirrors around, Mary has her demon-form and is a decent scrapper. I think she wins against an unarmed Snow. Snow will still put up a decent fight, but I think she goes down. Winner: Mary
    2. In the comics, it's shown that Bluebeard is formidable to Mundies, but not to someone like Bigby. In fact, in his own way, he's as much of a coward as Crane. That being said, he is a bully and a decent fighter. Beast is a decent scrapper too, but more... straightforward. I think Bluebeard would win in the long run since Beast can't transform. He's too devious. Winner: Bluebeard
    3. Georgie tried to punch Bigby and stumbled back, breaking his precious "Say Anything" boombox. :P Gren at least seems semi-competent. Georgie was only even a minor threat when he was armed. Since he's not here, I go Gren. Winner: Gren
    4. Crane was pissing himself at the thought of dealing with the Crooked Man. He would put up no resistance. Crooked Man's much, MUCH smarter and would beat Crane easily. Winner: Crooked Man
    5. I would pay good money if this was an insult battle. In a straight-up fight, though? Colin is far more formidable-- higher weight class, hooves, and, y'know, teeth. Winner: Colin

    1. Bloody Mary because she has those glass shards packed in places you don't wanna know, y'know? Definitely something no Band-Aid or a visit by Swineheart could fix.
    2. Beast no doubt, B-Beard's butler is going to have his work cut out for him this time!
    3. Gren, Georgie could stand a chance, but Gren's got the upper hand. If ya know what I mean...
    4. Crooked Man because he could just easily snap Crane's twiggy arms, just like that.
    5. Toad, because I believe he has a cane hidden somewhere that he isn't afraid to deal damage with.

    Agree with setting being important, if not crucial. First one is completely setting based. Third is time based.
