Still much worse than season 1 episode 1. If it wasn't riding on the success of the first season than the reviews would have been much worse, they are still too forgiving at the moment.

Same as your apologetic behavior towards Telltale and constant nagging.

"stop saying bad stuff about season 2, I can't accept your negative opinion, waaaahhh" Talk about crying me a river, jeez.

  • This is a bit of a late reply but, is Chuck working on the new Borderlands or GOT game? Or another unannounced project? :0

Uh oh! Chuck is actually HERE right now working on an unannounced project!

  • Borderlands Not sure if anyone's been stated to be working on Game of Thrones yet.

  • A new blog entry by (senior?) programmer Will Armstrong emerged on Campo Santo's blog. An interesting read if you're into shooter mechanics, particularly Bioshock 2. Apart from that, again, not a word is breathed about the project they're working on. Damn, it's been too long.

You heard it second to last: If you still were in doubt, Campo Santo confirmed to actually make a video game.

I find it interesting that there already were voice actor auditions... or at least Sean is very prepared for them. ;)

Thank God, at least they're not doing a Journey copy!

  • Allllll right, what's going on here? First Campo Santo bag Jane Y Ng from Double Fine...

...and now Chris Remo. Yup, he's left DF for CS. And the Double Fine adventure is not even finished.

  • I wouldn't be surprised if he left for a more art oriented job, seeing as he's been working as community manager at Double Fine. He wrote music for both Thirty Flights of Loving and Gone Home, so maybe he was offered a job creating music.

He also co-wrote The Cave, so it's possible he's working in the story department at Campo Santo.

Campo Santo sent out its first newsletter today, which can be read here:

    http://www.camposanto.com/quarterlyreview/vol1issue1/index.html

It's an achievement somehow - being the most text intensive and least informative "newsletter" I have ever received. More than 6,000 words on nothing at all. Pirate stories and Tarot, and don't think even for a second that these things have anything to do with CSG's first game.

Marketing 101: If you don't have any news, don't send newsletters!

Campo Santo's first game has finally been revealed. :)

It is called Firewatch. They've only been working on it since January, so there's not much revealed yet. All that is known is it's a single player first person mystery game set in the Wyoming wilderness, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio. There is no release date set yet, but Campo Santo announced that it will be released on Windows, OS X, and Linux.

  • And wow, we can get a poster of it for the low low price of $50!

It should be interesting to see where they go with the game. The person-on-the-radio concept kind of reminds me of the crystal ball you carry around in Return To Zork. (I know, everything reminds me of Return To Zork....)

The concept art they've posted on the blog so far has been really fantastic (although I guess I shouldn't be surprised seeing as it's coming from Olly Moss). The transition of Olly's typewriter into a 3D object by Jane Ng is pretty fantastic too (it's awesome that she was able to make the 3D model look pretty much exactly like Olly's concept art). They definitely have some amazing talent on the art side (and with Jake and Sean (and Nels Anderson of Mark of the Ninja fame) on the designing side, and Chris Remo and the team at Bay Area Sound on the sound side of things, this project has the potential to really be amazing). :)

  • Thread: Sean Vanaman and Campo Santo

As most of you know Sean Vanaman one of the leads on the walking dead season 1 has left Telltale to form his on game studio "Campo Santo". They are currently developing a game called "Firewatch" set in Vanaman's home state of Wyoming. They have a develop blog on their website for it and on the 30th they will be at PAX with a trailer. If you can't attend PAX its all good because they will livestreaming the trailer and whatever else they show on twitch. A lot of loved the walking dead season 1 so let's support Sean wherever he goes.

  • He's referring to Sean Vanaman, most likely the main writer for this game. Sean Vanaman used to work at Telltale and wrote episode 1, 3, and 5 of TWD S1. Shortly after the release of Season 2, which he oversaw the development of and helped create the story, he left Telltale to form Campo Santo, which is making this game.

  • The thing I liked about the gameplay is that the dialogue seemed so genuine and very believable. The voice acting was fantastic and felt realistic. They definitely did a excellent job in that department.

  • This game is going to be great. I can't wait to play this. I wonder what other games there going to be making in the future.

  • The main guys of this studio created The Walking Dead Season 1 game? Nice. Very good dialogue, if they can do that standard up throughout the game, with a good story. That's an accomplishment and a step in the right direction for storytelling games. The voice acting is superbly done.

This game has so much potential, please don't let it turn into some The Forest type bullshit with the mysterious people.

  • I like the art style and humorous small talk. The male voice actor sounds like Harry Crane from Mad Men and the female voice actor sounds like Lana from the TV show Archer. Anyone else think so or am I crazy?

You were right about the first one, but the second one is Cissy Jones, who voiced Katjaa/Jolene/Linda/Brie/Dee/Shel in TWD and Detective Brannigan in TWAU..
