Video/Audio Freeze Issue with Episode 2!
For some peculiar reason, episode 2 seems to be INFESTED with a weird problem. Every 3-4 minutes, the game will decide to freeze. The video itself will freeze up; nothing will happen, however, any audio that is playing at the time (music or sound effects) will continue to play. The only way I have been able to then get the game running is to ctrl+alt+delete, open task manager, and then force it to switch back to the game itself, where the screen will be black for a few moments, and then will continue on as normal until it inevitably decided to do this ALL again.
THIS NEXT BIT MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS TO SOME, SO BE WARNED
Also, another point worth mentioning, whenever I get to the part where Jack tells Rhys to "mess up" Vasquez, I get this freeze, but it stays. There's nothing I can do to make it continue on, so I have to force close the entire game through task manager!
I NEVER had this problem with episode 1 at all, in fact, that ran perfectly. I don't understand why this episode seems to be doing it though. I'd changed all the graphics settings too, and that did nothing.
I have already use the TFTB Support Tool to get the .zip of the issue, which I'll include below. This is such an annoying issue since the wait for episode 2 has been insanely long, and I'm anxious to play through it all in one smooth run without any problems. I'm not stranger to issues with games though; it happens a lot for me!
Thanks!

Can you please clarify if you are currently running the game in any option other than Stereo? (5.1 Surround Sound, etc.) If so, I recommend try changing your audio output to Stereo, and see if your issue is resolved.
After looking over your Support Tool information, I noticed that your Steam Client is installed to a different drive than where your save files are currently located. Can you please clarify if you install Steam to your C:\ drive, that you are able to play the game without these issues occurring?
Unfortunately, I am incredibly short on space on my C:\ drive, so I'm not able to install Steam there.
However, I have resolved the issue!
For anyone else who was having a similar problem, I'd recommend checking the integrity of the game cache (if you bought the game via Steam). I did this on the off-chance that there may have been some broken files or something (that's been happening a lot recently for a lot of my games), and it turned out that 2 files failed to verify, so it redownloaded them, and the game worked all fine and dandy! I've just finished episode 2, and I have to say, I'm SO glad I fixed this!
Thank you for the reply anyway, it may be able to help others out if they have a similar problem!
Thank you for providing the extra information on how you were able to resolve your issue, I hope you are able to enjoy the game!
