Android version doesn't start after episode 2 release

Hi. I've played the first episode of Tales from the Borderlands but when I got a comfirmation mail from you that the second episode was avaliable and tried to start the game (android version on an ASUS Padphone Infinity) the game won't even start. The screen just turns black for a short moment, nothing else. I have over 5 Gb left so it shouldn't be a memory issue. I tried to re-install the game, but with the same result. What can I do?

Please make sure that you have updated the Game Application to the latest version. Then reset your device, and start the game application. You should then be able to successfully start the game, and download Episode 2.

  • The game is set to auto-update so I can only believe it is the latest version. I restarted my phone and tried to open the game. Same result; a black screen for a second, then it bounces back to the Borderland-app on Google Play. If I try to start it from the phone without going in on Google play, same thing happens; black screen for a second, then I'm back on my screen again

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please make sure that you have force closed any and all apps that are open and running in the background before attempting to start the game, that way all of the device's processing power is focused on the game. You can also try turning your device off for 5-10 min after closing all apps in order to clear the device's cache, then turn it back on, and start the game and see if you are then able to play.

If you still experience the issue, I recommend checking to see if the app updated successfully, and if not, manually updating the app from the Google Play Store app. Below are the steps to manually update an app:

    1) On your Android smartphone or tablet head to the Google Play Store.

    2) Hit the menu button (three square dots) which is located at the top right hand side of the screen and select 'My Apps'.

    3) This menu is where you can see which apps on your device have available updates.

    4) If you see Tales From The Borderlands, please tap 'Update' next to it, and the update will begin to download and install.
