(Resolved) Cannot Redeem Exclusive Loot for Borderlands the Pre Sequel

Dear Telltale Games,

I am facing an odd problem while trying to redeem the exclusive Borderlands: TPS loot for
Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass Holders. Basically, when I go to Extras, then
Unlocks from the Main Menu within the game, the game informs me that I have to buy
the Season Pass. I find this odd as I have already bought the Season Pass when the
game came out and just recently downloaded and enjoyed Episode 2 for free from the
PSN Store. I would also like to point out that I directly purchased the Season Pass from
the PSN Store and not from within the game itself (perhaps this is the source of my
problem? I don't know). I have also tried redownloading all the files from the PSN store
(both episodes and the unlock file) to no avail.

Would you please assist me with this issue?

    My apologies. Can you please clarify if your Playstation Account registers the Season Pass as 'Purchased' on the Playstation Store? If so, are you able to log into your SHiFT account, and see the unlocks on your My Offers page as 'Tales From The Borderlands Rewards!'? If you can, you will be able to receive your unlocks in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel by going to the SHiFT Vending Machine in-game, and they will be available there. If you are still unable to receive your unlocks in-game, please also make sure that you have started both Tales From The Borderlands, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel so that the games become associated with your profile, and make sure that both games are updated to the latest version. Then check your SHiFT account, and see if the unlocks have updated to show as available.

  • When I search for Tales from the Borderlands on the PSN Store, it replaces the Buy button with Download so I guess that means it registers as Purchased. I do not see a My Offers page on my Shift Account. I have a Rewards page, and it lists all the Shift codes that I've ever redeemed for Golden Keys by Gearbox. No entry for Tales from the Borderlands is present under my Borderlands the Pre Sequel List.

    I have started both games, and both games are updated to the latest version.

    The Unlocks option under the Extras menu in Tales from the Borderlands itself is still asking me to purchase the Season Pass. I have tried redownloading the associated files multiple times. Once I went so far as to delete my Tales from the Borderlands installation and redownload all three files (unlock + Episodes 1 & 2) and reinstalled them. I installed the unlock file first, then install Episode 1, then Episode 2. Upon starting, the game asked me to update to Version 1.0.2. I did so, then my game was a Trial Version. I then redownloaded the unlock file again, and my game was normal. I proceeded to the Extras option, then the Unlocks option, and it still asks me to purchase the Season Pass. It seems that my installation cannot seem to detect that I have purchased the Season Pass for some reason.

  • Ok. I just randomly started up the game to play a bit, and they finally appeared in the SHiFT menu under Extras. Literally didn't do anything. It seems that they were just randomly delayed. Wait a few days, the might pop up.

    You can also try redownloading and reinstalling Tales from the Borderlands. It worked for two people that I talked to. Didn't for me.

    Please note that we are currently working on an issue where some players are seeing the Season Pass as not owned, when in fact they have already purchased the Season Pass. Your account should have the Season Pass registered as Owned, and your Unlocks should appear in your Shift account page. If you still experience any issues with your unlocks not showing up in your Shift account, please make sure you have met all of the requirements specified in the Exclusive Loot Unlocks Sticky Thread.

  • I deleted Tales from Borderlands from my PS3, installed it again (Tile on PSN download was Tales from Borderlands ep1/ep2 - Season Pass), started a new game (Slot 2)- still no loot in TPS
    SHIFT login in TPS is OK - I was able to redeem SHIFT codes and open the Concordia Loot chest
    After a week waiting- still no loot in TPS
    I use the german PSN, System is set to german
    Any Ideas how I could get the loot in TPS?

    Can you please clarify what you see when you go to Extras, then Unlocks from the main menu? Do you see that you need to purchase the Season Pass instead of the Season Pass as 'Owned'? Also, is the email address that you use for your PSN account, the same as the email address you use for your SHiFT account?

    My apologies unfortunately if you are still experiencing issues, did you purchase the Season Pass for Tales From The Borderlands individually, or through the Telltale Collection? I recommend contacting Sony Support to make sure that your PSN Profile has the Tales From The Borderlands Season Pass associated with it.

  • I purchased the game solo on PSN during the winter sale. After contacting Sony Support and going through the PSN forum I did the following

    • uninstalled the game, cleared the local save Files
    • checked then the Services in the Account Management of my PS3 System- Season Pass is active
    • Installed the Trial Version- Menu said "PLAY TRIAL"
    • Activated Season Pass in Game via BUY Button- Game connected to PSN Store, Season Pass was labeled Purchased in PSN store, game started automaticaly, Menu says now "PLAY", Installing ep1/ep2 via EPISODES worked, EPISODES Season Pass is still on "BUY"

    My apologies unfortunately if you are still experiencing issues, did you purchase the Season Pass for Tales From The Borderlands individuall

    If you have double-checked that your account owns both games on the Playstation Network, and you have started both games and updated them to the latest version, you should be eligible to receive the unlocks in your SHiFT account. I recommend looking over This Gearbox Support Page, and see if you can find your solution there. If you are still unable to receive your loot/unlocks, please contact Gearbox Support directly, and make sure there are no issues with the items unlocking on your SHiFT account.
