We all know Fiona Sapiens is a very caring species but this is on a completely new level of love. She loves him so intensely that, because she knows her mate is not capable or in any state of obeying the unnamed beast, she gives her own body, sacrifices her own well being, in order to complete the task. She´d never let him down. Truly beautiful. They wordlessly communicate to be there for each other and she keeps that promise with this selfless, absolutely beautiful act. She won´t let him tire...she´ll tire herself.

Rhys nodded, a smile that he couldn´t have stopped even if he tried took over his face.
"I´m just so glad we adopted Loader Bot."
I wouldn't be surprised that during the opening of episode 1, Rhys and Fiona was in the middle of a marriage problem and the Stranger just happened to be around to kidnapped them both and ask them about the Gortys Project.
Obviously this is talking about the state of their relationship. Each of them are feeling insecure but neither of them wants to give the fir… morest step so they´re waiting for the other one to do something about their connection but they´re getting impatient with the situation.
Obvious. Despite insecurities they want to get closer. A scene where one of them finds the other so irresistible that they almost give in to the temptation of making a move on them.
Finally, progress! They finally confess and enter a commited relationship from which they know there is no going back from (they´re too in love to even consider the possibility). Rejoice!
Fighting scene where bandits interrupt our lovebird´s moments together and they have to fight them off in frustration of their moment being ruined.
