No Save File Created (PC/Steam)
I recently purchased Tales from the Borderlands and started playing last night. I have seen the vault symbol show up to indicate a save, on multiple occasions. Last night, the my pc crashed/locked up after the opening cinematic of landing on Pandora and I assumed that was the cause of the lack of save game when I went to play this morning. (I'm still trying to figure out what causes -that-.) I started over and got through the game beyond the point of the previous crash, and saw the vault symbol save icon show up multiple times after. I closed the game, and reopened it to make sure it was working this time. My only option was to start over, as there were no save files of my game seen by the game itself.
I purchased Tales of the Borderlands through Steam, on PC, and have verified the files.
Here's the file from the support tool: https://www.sendspace.com/file/riuhbi

I apologize for the inconvenience. After looking over your Support Tool information, I cannot seem to find the install location of the game, or the Steam Client itself. Can you please clarify if you have Steam and the game installed to a secondary hard drive?
Hmm, that's weird. I only have the one, and everything in installed on C: - it's the only option. Could something be blocking the tool from working? I located it myself with all of the other steam games.. (screenshot - https://www.sendspace.com/file/ndd4t4 ) I can try running it again; it really didn't take very long, last time.
Here it is again; https://www.sendspace.com/file/tk6po3
This one does list the proper information. The only thing I did differently was disable AVG, I didn't catch that it missed some information last time. Sorry about that! Hopefully this upload will be more helpful.
Just to update: I also removed the local files, through steam, and reinstalled the program. Again, there were no save files found by the game after I played through. Yet, in the "Tales from the Borderlands" folder is showing saveslot1 files that have been modified up until I finished playing the game. (The checkpoint6 file is the most recent. I'm looking at the "date modified" listing.) So, the files seem to be there.
Let me know if you need anything else from me.
Thank you for providing the updated Support Tool file. Unfortunately after looking over your data, everything seems to be set up correctly. If you are still unable to use your saves/no saves being created, your save files may have become corrupted when your computer crashed. I recommend deleting the 'Tales From The Borderlands' folder from
C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Telltale Games\
Then restart the game connected to the internet, and start a new game, and you should be able to save successfully in-game.
I deleted the folder and did as you suggested and, so far, that seems to have fixed it. Thanks for your help, TelltaleMike.
You're welcome, thank you for replying with what was able to resolve your issue. I hope you are now able to enjoy the game!
