Suddenly... Spanish?!
SPOILERS Don't say I didn't warn you...
During the scene where Bigby meets the Crooked man in the foundry after defeating Bloody Mary, the choices suddenly switch to spanish.... My Spanish is rusty/non-existant, so the choices pretty much mean nothing to me, and I don't want to have to have to do the entire scene over again. I don't get it, spanish isn't even an option... in the settings. I know I'm not the first or only person with this issue on Xbox 360.

I apologize for the inconvenience. We are currently looking into the cause of this issue. As for now, you will need to rewind one or two scenes in Episode 5, and the language should switch back to English.
got the same issue, just went to dashboard, rebooted the game and it solved the problem. what a strange bug though...
But now when it should say "he will remember that" its in german XD
My apologies, unfortunately the only workaround at this time while we are still looking into the issue, is to rewind, and replay through the scene.
Its ok, at least it was fixable! Can't wait for season 2, you guys keep out doing yourselves with these epic games!!
I just played through the retail disc and encountered the same thing. Was wondering if this was a common error and my searching eventually led me here. I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed since it was brought to their attention back in November, so I'm posting to point out it still needs to be fixed for anyone who hasn't played it yet. Fortunately, I managed to make good enough decisions as some Spanish is still floating around inside my brain from school which was more than 15 years ago.
Thank you for providing the extra information. I will make sure to pass the information along to the team.
Same thing happened here (Xbox 360, XBLA version). Got to the scene with the Crooked Man after a dull QTE (pro-tip: all QTEs are dull) that lasted entirely too long (so there was no way I was replaying the chapter). Important decisions in the text, no idea what I was pushing. No fix after a number of months, I made the decision to skip your future games in this genre.
I just got done playing this game myself and encountered the same bug in the Foundry. It suddenly switched to Spanish during that whole speech with The Crooked Man and then switched back to English when I got to The Witching Well. I understand that you guys have staffing issues and that you generally have this habit of working on multiple games at once, but perhaps it might be time to start looking at "quality over quantity." I'm not trying to be intentionally rude, but this seems like it's becoming a habitual problem and may end up causing you to lose business/profit in the long run.
It just happened to me too, it kind of lead to a bad night of a ruined day, so I just gave up and went to bed. I didn't find a language option, is there one? Also, The Subtitles froze in that scene.
I'll still buy your games that deal with stuff I like, and the rest of the game was good enough that I will buy more. I know what it's like to be understaffed, and to put out a game like this is proof you guys can still do something amazing.
I have the exact same problem. But I just bought the game last week! I downloaded this episode last night! How is it that 6 months after this was recognized as a problem it still has not been solved!? I am loving the game and very impressed with the storytelling. However, after seeing this my opinion of Tell Tale completely tanked. Having an in game bug is one thing, it happens, coding a full game is tough work, I get that. Not fixing it for six months!? That completely astounds me.
The game has also frozen two or three times forcing me to reboot and begin a scene over. I didn't mind it much before this, thought maybe it was a hardware issue. However, seeing that a known problem which majorly affects the player's ability to engage with the content; and what is more, is a known and presumably easily fixed issue has gone completely unaddressed in the downloaded version of the game for the greater part of a year really reduces my view of the company. I would love to have more games like The Wolf Among Us to purchase, but if neglect of core problems in the game is standard I will spend my money elsewhere.
As Serafina said, quality should always be top priority. Tonight I am seriously doubting that commitment. Love the game and the concept, but when you know there is an issue like this in your product fix that FIRST then produce new content. That is #1 reason I no longer buy anything from EA.
Just keeping the thread going it's happened to me now too. Really breaks the flow of an otherwise awesome game. Thanks for this game and all your others. Hope you can fix this soon.
