Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 5 Goes Silent and Freezes on Xbox 360

Every other episode has work except for this one. I have tried redownloading, restarting, using a different save file, and every time it's the same. Eventually the dialogue goes silent and soon after that, the game and my xbox both feeze. It disappoints me that Telltale doesn't seem to care about releasing a game that works properly, and I'd like to know if there's any version of this game that isn't a buggy broken down mess.

Can you please clarify where in the episode that you are experiencing the audio cut off, and freezing? Is it right at the beginning of the episode, or during a particular scene? Also, can you please clarify if you have tried Clearing your System's Cache? If not, I recommend trying that now, and see if your issue is then resolved.

  • I have cleared the system cache multiple times, and the audio cut off has been happening at different times each time I attempt to redownload the episode.

Can you please clarify what model Xbox 360 you have, how big the hard drive is, and if you have at least 10% space left on your storage device to allow the game to cache properly?

I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if you are playing the digital download version of the game, or the disc version of the game? Also, have you started the game while connected to the internet to make sure you have received the latest update available for the game? After we receive this information, we will be able to assist you further with your issue.

Can you please clarify if the first time you played Episode 5, that you had been playing through the game in one sitting/playing for a couple hours before you reached that particular point? We have had reports that players experiencing this were able to get the audio/sound to work by turning their console off, and back on again, then rewinding to the beginning of the episode, and continuing from there, and the audio then played properly. If the issue persists after trying this, we also recommend try Clearing your System's Cache, or deleting and re-downloading the episode from the Xbox Marketplace.

If you are experiencing any performance issues within an episode on Xbox 360, please first try deleting the episode individually from your console. To do this, follow these steps:

-Hit the Xbox Guide Button in the Middle of your Controller
-Go as far to the right as you can
-Scroll down and click on System Settings
-Scroll down and click on Storage
-Click your HardDrive/Memory Card (Wherever the DLC is Saved on)
    -Click on Games and Apps
-Scroll down and find the game you want to delete the DLC for and click on the game
-A list of all your saves, DLC, etc will show up, find the DLC/Episode you want and click it
-Now scroll down and click Delete

    To Re-Download
    -Go to the Xbox Marketplace
-Go the game you want to re-download the DLC for
-Click Download Again for the DLC (The Episode should say ‘Free’ next to it)
