TWD 1 and 2 not loading (ticket #45580)
Hi,
Could you please help me find the fix?
TWD1 gives the exe error while TWD2 loads the black screen. We've tried re-installing TWD1, updated game drivers, done steam cache check, tried changing compatibility mode, admin access and launching in windowed mode. We also have another PC with exact same hardware and both games run fine on that machine.

I apologize for the inconvenience. After looking over your Support Tool information, Season One does not seem to be installed to the default directory. Can you please clarify if you are using a secondary hard drive to install the game to, or if you uninstalled the game recently before running the Support Tool?
Season Two looks to be installed properly. If you start Season Two, and reach a Black Screen, please try starting the game again, and when you see the blank/black screen, please try switching the game to Windowed Mode using the shortcut (Alt+Enter for PC) and see if you are then able to see the game correctly. If so, please then try changing the game's resolution and/or graphics settings to a lower setting, and click Apply. Then try switching back to Full Screen Mode by using the same shortcut, and your issue should then be resolved.

You are correct in that Season One is not installed. I bought a new machine and installed Season Two to the secondary hard disk. I have also uninstalled Season Two and attempted to reinstall it to the primary hard disk, as I thought there may be an issue related to that. The previous logs I gave you are in the following situation:
The Alt+Enter window mode switch is not working. I have also attempted to start the application in windowed mode the launch option -sw.

Can you please clarify which 'exe error' you are receiving when attempting to start Season One?
Also if you are still seeing a black screen when starting Season Two when its installed to your primary hard drive, please re-Verify your Game Cache to make sure that the installation is not missing any files. If you still see the black screen, please make sure that you are NOT still running the game in a Compatibility Mode now that you have it installed to your main hard drive.
I currently do not have Season One installed, so cannot give you the error code.
I have re-verified the game cache for Season Two, with no success. I can confirm the game is not running in compatibility mode.
My apologies, please also make sure that you have disabled any anti-virus or internet firewall programs open and running to make sure they are not blocking the game's access to our servers so that you receive the latest patches/data.
If the issue persists, please also try changing the download region from which your update is coming from. To do this, please click View on the top left of the Steam window, and click Settings from the drop down menu. Once the Settings window is open, click on the Downloads tab, and under the Download Region section, try switching to a different region using the drop down menu. Then close the Settings window, and restart Steam before attempting the update again.
