No Steam Cloud Saves

Why is there no option to enable Steam Cloud Saves for Game of Thrones like other Telltale Games to restore our save files? I also tried saving a manual back up of the game onto an external hard drive I then brought that over to my new machine and selected the file for steam to restore and it loaded without complication but I still don't have my saved progress from my old machine?

  • well it seems from the fact that support is ignoring this question they don't really care.

I apologize for the delayed response, and for any difficulties this has caused you. Unfortunately at this time, Steam Cloud saving is not supported for this game. If you would like to transfer your save files from one computer to another, please copy the 'Game of Thrones' folder from your

Does that mean it is being considered for future episodes?

  • It would be great to know if Steam Cloud is coming to Game of Thrones...

  • I was really disappointed to realize the game doesn't support cloud saving, as I switch between computers regularly.

Are there any plans to implement this feature (via Steam or TTG-account)?

  • So I just reformatted my computer, thinking that all of my Steam games and any save files I rely on will be synchronised with the Steam cloud... How wrong I was. I lost all of my save files for Game of Thrones as well as Tales from the Borderlands. I spent so long on those games, and now I have to waste an entire day to get through replaying it to make all the decisions I've already made.

Thanks for that, guys =_= I mean seriously, is there any purpose in logging in with a Telltale account in game if it doesn't synchronise your save files or choices anywhere? Seems like a complete and utter waste of resources if you ask me.

Unfortunately at this time we have not announced plans to update Game of Thrones with Steam Cloud Save support. I will make sure to pass your interest and feedback on adding this feature, along to the team!

@Oshinigami Linking your Telltale account to your Steam account allows you to view your extended Stats and Choices on your Game of Thrones Choices Page. This unfortunately does not serve as a secondary cloud save.

  • The choices page never updates for me properly. I have my Steam account linked since day 1 (episode 1 release).

If your choices page on this website has not updated, I recommend try unlinking your Telltale account from your Steam account by clicking 'My Account' from the top right of this webpage, then click Settings from the drop down menu. Inside there you can click the 'Unlink Account' button, then once you start the game again, try going to the Telltale Account menu in-game and re-link your accounts. After this has completed successfully open this website and make sure to log out of your account then log back in, and go to your choices page and see if they are updated properly.

Have you tried my below potential solution of un-linking your Telltale account from this website, then re-linking it?

  • Really annoyed at this as well. I fully expected steam cloud to be utilized for such a high profile release. I regularly switch between 3, sometimes 4 computers and it gives me less opportunity to play if I have to play on one machine.

Please implement this feature. It's a huge step backwards not to.

If you would like to continue your saves on another computer, we recommend taking your 'Game of Thrones' folder from the following directory:

    C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Telltale Games\

As long as you copy that whole folder, and place it into the same directory on your other computers, you will be able to continue from where you left off. I will make sure to pass your interest in the addition of Steam Cloud Saves along to the team, though!

It appears that your choices have been recorded in our database successfully. If you are currently unable to see your Extended stats and choices on our website, please first try logging out, and back into your Telltale account on this website, then go to your Game of Thrones Choices Page and see if it has updated.

If the issue persists, you can also try clearing your web browser's cache/cookies for this website, then log into your account again and see if your Choices page updates.
