Game Keeps Crashing.

I had initially bought and played this game on my iPhone 5s, but then upon acquiring an Android G.Pad 7.0 LG Tablet, with Android 4.4.2 OS. I had decided to play it upon that having more space on the device... Playing it from the beginning and opting for the season pass, episode 1 was fine. But upon playing episode two, I found the game kept crashing. More particularly in the scene with Gared and the Night's Watch. I have restarted the tablet, I've uninstalled and re-installed the episode and still, it crashes. I've had Gared ask, "You...F*** potatoes?" more times than I can count! Help me, please? I've checked the specs and I seem to hit the minimum requirements, so I'm at a loss.

I apologize for the inconvenience. You may be able to improve the performance of the game app by trying these potential solutions:

    1) Make sure both your device's OS is updated to the most recent version, as well as the game app is updated to the latest version

    2) Force stop the application and any other applications open and running on your device, and then relaunch it

    3) Reset your WiFi settings by turning them Off, and back On then reconnect with the network.

    4) Turn off your device for a few minutes, before attempting to launch the game again.

    5) Go to the device’s Settings Menu, then go to Applications, then Manage Applications, and select the Game Application and tap ‘Clear Data’.

    6) Delete the application from your device, and re-download it from the App Store (Please note that this will NOT delete your save data)

If the issue persists, please also make sure that you have the game installed to your internal memory, and not an external SD Card.

  • Well...this worked for a while, but upon playing episode 4... I can't even get past the "Previously on Game of Thrones" bit without crashing. I've done all of that, even uninstalling and removing the SD Card from my device and reinstalling it, and leaving it out while downloading the episode again and playing the episode, but still, it crashes. =\

You may also be experiencing this issue if your device is close to running out of space. Can you please clarify if you deleted Episodes 2 and 3 after completing them from inside the Episodes menu in-game? This should clear up necessary space/memory so that Episode 4 runs as smoothly as possible.

  • Sadly I've tried doing just that, and it still crashes in the "Previous on..." part. I have about 6.88GB of available space out of a 16GB tablet. I have noticed something, though. I've no idea if this is a factor or not. When I go into my settings, and in the app section, it'll list a considerable amount/file size on "App ( SD Card )" and "Data ( SD Card )" Especially when I've downloaded the 4th episode. But the thing is, I've uninstalled and ejected the SD Card and reinstalled and the stats stay the same. And even unchecked "App restore" under "Backup and Reset" and still with the same stats. Is this the problem I'm having playing this game?

My apologies, you may also need to clear the cached game data of the game application from your device in order for the episode to load correctly. (This will unfortunately delete the game saves along with the cached data of the game in the process)

If you would like to try clearing your cached game data from the game, please open your Settings menu, then make sure you have the General tab selected at the top, then select Storage at the bottom of the menu. Once inside the Storage menu, you will see a Miscellaneous Files folder. Tap that, and delete the Telltale folder from within that menu by checking the Telltale file, and tapping the Trash Can to delete the game file.

Then make sure that you have deleted and re-downloaded the game from the Google Play Store, and you should be able to download and play the episode successfully. Again, my apologies for any difficulties this has caused you.

  • Aand again, a no for me. I cleared the cache, uninstalled, then reinstalled, stats stay the same, I lost my saves...downloaded just episode 4 and....never got past the preview sequence. I'm calling it a day. It doesn't seem like the gpad 7.0 is powerful enough for this game for whatever reason, so I'll try my luck going back to my iphone and see if it's better there. =\ Thank you for your help though, it's a shame, I've really been loving this game, the characters and the story. Possibly even moreso than the show. Thank you.
