Transition from episode 2 to 3 not working

I completed episode 2 in season 1 on mac after the credits ran it went to main menu. When I clicked on my save file it said that all episodes from episode 2 we're coming soon when I have them all installed. I closed the game and opened it again. All episodes were now showing that they were installed again but when I clicked on the save file it sent me back to the last save in episode 2.
I have replayed episode 2 three times now from this save file and it still does the same thing.
Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone got any ideas what I can do?

My apologies, after looking over your Support Tool information, I believe to have found your issue in your file directory. Please rename the prefs.prop file in

    /Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/The Walking Dead/TheWalkingDead.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/default/

to prefs.prop.bak to disable it, then start the game up, and your episodes and saves will be restored. (Your Library folder is sometimes hidden, to make it visible, please open a Finder window, and at the top of the screen, click Go and hold down the Option key. The Library will now become available in the drop down menu. Click that and follow the above file path, and rename the folder specified above.)

  • It looks like my steam files are not saved in the /Application Support/ folder and have instead been installed somewhere else. This has made it impossible to located the prefs.prop file.
Do you know another way to find the file in question?

Please make sure that you are accessing the Library folder in my steps above, or you will not be able to find the folder. I will quote the directions below:
