Who here reads/has read Jack of Fables?
I just finished Volume 6 of Jack of Fables today and I gotta say that I'm really enjoying the series, much more than I thought I would. I wasn't sure about the idea of Jack being the main character since I didn't think he was a very likable fellow, but after reading it for a bit I decided he's more likable than I gave him credit for and does have somewhat of a soft side.
The other characters, especially the Literals, are well-written as well. I love Gary the Pathetic Fallacy and I find the Page sisters to be pretty amusing. I also love how there's a page dedicated to Babe the Blue Ox funnies most issues.
I've read reviews for the remaining volumes and the last two volumes are supposedly garbage and most people did not like them, so that's a shame, but I'll still get them just to finish the series.
What are your general thoughts on the spin-off series, for those that have read it?

I really should start reading the Fables spin offs, I'm surprise that I haven't read Jack of Fables yet too considering he is one of my favorite characters ;P
I have read up to Volume 6 so I was prepared and ready for Fables Volume 13: The Great Fables Crossover. I have ALL of the Fables spin-offs because miraculously, they ALL tie into the main canon somehow!! (Except the Unwritten/Fables Crossover, that is non-canon to Fables)
I do like this spin-off because Jack does make for a unique protagonist (despite the fact I HATE him), and this spin-off does have some great humour, and introduces awesome new characters to the series
I haven't read Volumes 7-9 yet though...
Yeah I was gonna get the spin-off series eventually, but didn't realize that Jack would be in the Crossover, so I figured I'd may as well read up on his series.
Nope, I hated Jack with a passion. Never found him funny or cool, so I was definitely not gonna read a whole series based off of him.
But while on the topic, anyone here read Fairest? I'm like halfway through it and it's really good.
Ive read most of it, havent finished the last story arc. I enjoy that its more humourous and silly. Jack is a doofus but i do like him brcause he gets called on his nonsense most of the time.
