I apologize for any difficulties this has caused you. If you start the game, press A to continue, and you become stuck on the loading screen, please try hard resetting your console by holding the power button down for 10 seconds. Then start the game again and you should not experience the issue anymore.

If the issue persists, I recommend making sure you are logged into the Xbox Live profile that you purchased the game/episode with if it is the first time starting the game after downloading a new episode. If you have changed or altered your Xbox Live account/profile in the recent past, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support to ensure there are no issues with the permissions/ownership of the game on your account.

  • I've done all of these things, and it still isn't working !

Can you please clarify if you have updated the game to the latest version? Also, are you currently connected through a wired connection, or through a wireless network connection? If you were connected wirelessly, I recommend try either connecting through a wired connection, or try resetting your wireless network access point (Modem/Router), then try starting the game and see if you are then able to start the game and connect successfully.

  • Mine is doing the exact same thing. It checks for DLC and then goes back to the loading screen. Does this again and again. I have tried hard resetting but this does nothing. I have completed episode 4 but my friend also plays, so I was going to let them play it after. But now it does this! It was after the latest update.

If you are still experiencing issues with the game unable to connect/load past the Checking for DLC screen, are you currently connected through a wired connection, or through a wireless network connection? If you were connected wirelessly, I recommend try either connecting through a wired connection, or try resetting your wireless network access point (Modem/Router), then try starting the game and see if you are then able to start the game and connect successfully.

If the issue persists, please also try deleting the DLC (episodes) from your console, and re-downloading them from the Xbox Marketplace, or deleting the game itself from your console, and re-download it. (Please note that this will not harm your save files)

  • I have tried all of these suggestions and it still is not working.

My apologies, unfortunately if you have tried completely deleting the game and the DLC (Episodes) from your console, as well as tried connecting both wirelessly and wired, there may be an issue with the save files of the game. I recommend try first backing them up to either the Xbox Cloud Storage if you have the ability to, or to an external flash drive, then try starting the game and see if you are able to play without experiencing the crashing.
