What's exactly the tone of this series?

Since i first played the game i felt like it had a different tone or vibe or whatever than the other Telltale games but i can't really put a finger on it
Reminds me a bit of Sin City movie . Can we say it is somekind of film(game) noir?

  • Its noir. But, fantasy noir I guess? Maybe we should just settle on original.

  • The tone itself it's Film-Noir, though the mesh with fantasy and superpowers adds a really weird pulpy seasoning that I really enjoy 10/10 would eat again.

  • It is Noir, which is different from the Fables comics, but it works perfectly :)

  • The tone of the series is awesome. :3

  • Well played, sir

  • after some searches on google i think i can say it is neon neo noir (lots of N's lol)
the 'neon' term i found it while reading a review(i think) : "Erik describes the mood of The Wolf Among Us as “neon noir”, referring both to the splashes of bright color brought out by the muddy palette of the timeless – but aesthetically Tony Manero-ish – New York the exiled fairytales inhabit, and to the neon signs which dot it. In particular, Sheriff Bigby Wolf’s tiny apartment is lit by a lurid sign for Red Rose’s Room, a local nightspot."

and neo-noir is basically an upgraded version of the basic film noir ( "updated themes, content, style, visual elements or media that were absent in films noir of the 1940s and 1950s" ) :)

  • It's noir with lots of pretty colors, shirt-busting cleavage, bacon, and wolf abs. ;)
