TFTBL: Purchased, but not downloaded
On my XBox 360, I'm unable to play Ep. 2 and Ep. 3. I own the Season Pass, and have previously played Ep. 1 and Ep. 2. My save game file is still recognized by the game. However, when I go to "Download Content" from the main menu, both Ep. 2 and Ep. 3 say "Purchased, but not downloaded". I have already downloaded both episodes from the XBox Marketplace through my XBox 360 multiple times, but the game's menu just doesn't seem to recognize them.
On the XBox Marketplace website, my account indicates that I already own and have downloaded the full game and season pass, but requires me to pay to download Ep. 2 and Ep. 3.
Help!

If the game is currently not identifying Episodes 2 and 3 as downloaded and installed in-game, I recommend first making sure that you have updated the game to the latest version. If the issue persists after you have updated the game, please also try deleting the episodes individually from your Storage device, then re-downloading them from the Xbox Marketplace, and you should then be able to see them as installed in-game. Below is the process of Deleting and Re-downloading episodes from Xbox 360:
Deleting and Re-Downloading episodes from the Xbox 360:
-Hit the Xbox Guide Button in the Middle of your Controller
-Go as far to the right as you can
-Scroll down and click on System Settings
-Scroll down and click on Storage
-Click your HardDrive/Memory Card (Wherever the DLC is Saved on)
-Click on Games and Apps
-Scroll down and find the game you want to delete the DLC for and click on the game
-A list of all your saves, DLC, etc will show up, find the DLC/Episode you want and click it
-Now scroll down and click Delete
To Re-Download
-Go to the Xbox Marketplace
-Go the game you want to re-download the DLC for
-Click Download Again for the DLC (The Episode should say ‘Free’ next to it)
I'd already done that a few times before, but for the sake of process I went and deleted both Ep. 2 & 3 from my HDD. I then went to the XBox Marketplace. It confirmed that I owns and had downloaded the base game and the Season Pass, but requires me to pay to download Ep. 2 & 3.
In the game, in the Download Content area, Ep. 2 & 3 are indicated as "purchased, but not downloaded". I am able to download the episodes from here, but again, the game does not change the status of the episodes after downloading them, still indicating "purchased, but not downloaded".
Could something have gone wrong with my Season Pass?
You can also try logging into your Xbox Live account on the Xbox Marketplace Website and then search for the episodes there, and choose to download them remotely to your Xbox directly from the website.
If you still experience the same issue, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support directly to ensure the game's entitlements are still registered to your account.
Thank you. I guess I'm off to contact Microsoft, then!
I spent two days with three different XBox support techs. We eventually cleared everything related to my profile and the game from my console. I was able to load Episode 1 and the Title Update just fine, but the Season Pass will not download. The Marketplace still indicates that I own it, but the download fails every time. Oddly enough, the game still recognizes that I own the Season Pass and indicates that all the episodes are purchased.
Finally, the last support tech decided to sidestep the Season Pass and have me buy Episodes 2 & 3 from the XBox Marketplace, as someone who does not have the Season Pass would do. I did that, downloaded them, and then loaded the game, but the game still indicates that Episodes 2 & 3 are "Purchased, but not Downloaded".
Kinda sounds like the game may have an issue, to me. Got any ideas? I'd really like to play the game I paid for.
Can you please clarify if you have tried downloading the episodes entirely from in-game by going to the Episodes menu, and selecting Episodes 2 and 3 when they say 'Purchased but not Downloaded'? You should be able to select the episode you wish to download from inside the Episodes menu, and it will then perform both the downloading and installing without having to enter the Xbox Marketplace at all.
Yes, I have done that. It downloads the episode. When done and I return to the game, the game pops up the message that it is updating content, but still shows "purchased, but not downloaded" for the episodes. I can then go into my hard drive and, sure enough, the files for Episode 2 and Episode 3 are there with the main game, my save game file, and the title update.
After the downloads have completed and you are taken back to the main menu, please try closing/exiting out of the game (first make sure there is not an autosaving icon on-screen). Then once you are back on the Xbox Dashboard, make sure that the game is fully closed. Then after a few minutes, start the game again while connected to the internet, and the episodes should update to show as Purchased and Installed from the in-game Episodes menu.
I have done that multiple times. Just did it again. No change.
