Help, totally stuck

I've never been this stuck on a game before, but I have absolutely no idea what to do next. I try not to use hints, but, gah, it's driving me crazy.
I'm on the ship, and I've got the tongue, but I don't know how to get to Flotsam or anything. Please give me a hint! Thanks!

Have a look at the locket, and think about how it works.

    Step-by-step:
    - Did you go up to talk to Coronado at all?
    - Search the area; anything there you haven't clicked on?
    - If you click on the locket, he tells you you can look at it, just not take it.
    - Try fiddling with it a little to see what happens.
    - Did you try pushing the arrow button?
    - Apparently, the voodoo lady speaks through Coronado. In a way, she is there on the boat, but she is not physically there. She is in Flotsam, where you need to be right now. Hmmm...
    - You need to somehow do the reverse. Possess the voodoo lady so your conscience is in Flotsam but your body isn't. Inspect the locket. Figured out how it works?
    - First, you need to replace the picture of Coronado with your picture, the one Morgan tossed. If you haven't picked it up already, go back into the manatee to get it.
    - If you were to click the button now, the voodoo lady would possess you. Hardly useful. You need to do the exact opposite. Notice how the button has an arrow that now points to your picture.
    - Reverse the arrow. There should be a wrench in your inventory. If not, dive back into the sea and inspect the chest in the area next to the anchor. Use the wrench on the button, and you're done! Push it and let the voodoo work its magic :)

Maybe that locket can work with different pictures too? And maybe it can do it in both ways?

    !
    I've got it now, thanks.
(Did not use the step-by-step. :P)

Thanks so much for the step by step. This is the only part of episode 3 I got stuck on (specifically the rotate button step). Was nice to just get a little hint instead of the outright solution (only had to read about halfway through your list to get it on my own).

I admit that this part took me awhile to consider too.

I was a bit disappointed by
the use of the golden wrench. It should clearly have been a monkey

They can't keep reusing the same jokes and puns, once was enough...
