This happened to me too.
He regenerated his eye and skin or some shit.
same thing with me i wanted to see Gryffs eye in fucking pieces but no... blood magic perhaps???? <------------- its most likely not

But I won't worry, because by the end of this game his face will be more fucked up than ever before.
He can't be human, just look at that face!
