Unable to download any episodes?

Ok so there seems to be a connection issue on telltales end. When in the GoT app I am prompted to login to my telltale account. When I attempt this it says there was trouble connecting to the servers and try later. I then proceed to the episodes tab and cannot download episode 2,3, or 4. I get a message "FAILED content failed to download." Now I am assuming this is a server problem on their end and they have each game on a separate server because I can download Tales from Boarderlands just fine and also login fine. Same with Walking Dead and A wolf among us. Thoughts? I sincerely hope this is resolved before the iOS launch of ep 5 tomorrow...

Device: iPhone 6 Plus

iOS: 8.4

Game/Version: Game of Thrones 1.6

Device has been turned off and on, app deleted and downloaded, all background apps are closed, and router reset.

    I apologize for any difficulties this has caused you. Could you please clarify what region/country you are currently located in? Also, are you currently connected over 3G/4G data, or over a WiFi network connection? Have you tried connecting to a different WiFi network when starting Game of Thrones see if you notice a difference in your ability to download the episodes and log into your Telltale account?

    Also, when you receive the 'Failed' error message, is this after a few percent of downloading the episode, or does it immediately fail?

  • I only attempt downloads over wifi. I have tried at another locations wifi and am not able to download episodes or log into my account. I am located in Washington, USA. It is an immediate failed attempt each time on all 3 episodes. I can login to tales from Boarderlands and download from that app just fine.

    After looking up your account in our database, your Telltale account seems to have successfully connected to our servers from an iPhone 6 Plus as recent as two hours ago to access our servers regarding choice data, and it shows Choices/Stats data through the end of Episode 4. Can you please clarify if you have ever played the game on another iOS device using the same Apple account, or with the same Telltale account linked in-game?

  • I have played telltale games on iPhone since the walking dead season 1 and Jurassic park when iPad mini launched. I've owned every iPhone after the 3G. I have not played GoT or TfBloarderlands on anything before the iPhone 6. I keep trying to download the episodes in GoT periodically throughout the day since last night. The only successful attempt to login to my account was last night on TfB.

  • Yeah me too! I don't get to play a lot of games but I always make time for the Telltale episodic games and it's difficult to avoid spoilers if you enjoy participating on the forums and aren't able to play an episode for a while after its release

  • Ok, so last night after our discussion I decided "What do I have to lose?" And did a full factory reset of my iPhone. After the restoration process concluded and my iPhone was able to re-download all my backed up apps and content I was finally able to login to telltale account in the app and download/install all episodes 2-5. I have yet to launch any episodes after installation completed. If I don't post again that means everything is working. Also after the first episode downloaded the menu to select the episodes for download shifted to the center of the screen and overlapped most of the onscreen text. Most likely a bug.

    Did you originally purchase the Season Pass pack (all episodes) or did you purchase each Episode individually?   • I uninstalled all episodes 1-4 from my iPad and reinstalled and I was finally able to get EP 5 to start downloading but it got to 98% and now I'm getting the same Failure to Dowload error message. Very frustrating!

  • Don't know if this will help anyone else, but as I said previously, I uninstalled and then reinstalled all episodes 1-4 and then starting downloading EP 5. It originally stopped downloading at 98% and I would just get a Failed error. Out of frustration I reset my IPad Air and when I went back into the episode menu it now tells me that EP 5 is fully installed!

    Maybe doing the same might work for others? Fingers crossed you all find a solution!
