Episode 5 is currently available, but we are currently looking into an issue where players attempting to purchase the game from the in-game Episodes menu are receiving a 'Failed' error message when attempting to download the episode. We are currently working hard on resolving the issue, and I will make sure to reply to This Discussion Thread when I have any new information or updates on the situation.

We believe to have resolved the issue. Please try fully closing out of the game application by double-tapping the Home button, then swiping up on the Game of Thrones app. Then reopen the game app while connected to a WiFi network, and you should receive the internal patch files that will allow you to purchase and download Episode 5 from the in-game Episodes menu.

Are you currently connected to a WiFi neetwork, or downloading over a 3G/4G network? Also, are you attempting to download the episode from the screen after you tap Play, or are you downloading it from the Episodes menu where it says 'Purchased but not Downloaded'?

My apologies, if you are still experiencing the issue please close the game and all other applications running in the background. This should free up necessary system resources. (To close an app running in the background on iOS 6 and before: double tap the home button to make all running apps appear at the bottom of the screen, hold down on an app you wish to close and red buttons will appear, tap the red buttons to close the apps. If on iOS 7/8, double tap the home button and swipe up on the open apps to close them) Also, please turn off your iOS device for at least three minutes before attempting to play the game again. This will allow the device’s cache to clear.
Then after restarting your device, please reset the WiFi by turning the WiFi Settings Off, and back On again. Then try starting the game application again, and you should then be able to successfully download and play Episode 5.

Have you updated the app to the latest version from the App Store by going to the Updates tab, and seeing if Game of Thrones is in the list of apps to update? (Version 1.6 is the latest available version)
Yes! I hit update! It downloaded but update kept coming up every time I hit it. Them there was a light blue spot beside the app so I hit it and the same thing happened again

My apologies. Unfortunately if you are still experiencing the issue, my only other potential solution would be to try either connecting to a different WiFi network connection, and see if that connection is stronger and allows you to successfully download the episode.

The episodes on iOS usually come out at 5/6 PM.
Thanks!
Still not out due to an issue with the client. Most of us using iPad are waiting for an update. There's a thread talking about the issue now.
