App crashing during startup
Hi,
I've been able to play the successfully until partway through episode 4. After closing my iPad by locking it for the night with the game running, ever since I have been unable to get this app to load up. It gets as far as the text "Connecting - Setting up DLC" and then freezes and crashes back to the home screen. If I turn off my wifi, the game gets past the checking for DLC step, briefly shows the image of 3 gears, then slowly fades to black with music playing before the music stops, the screen stays black, and eventually crashes to the home screen again.
I tried turning off the iPad for 10 minutes and then turning its wifi on and off. That did not help the issue.
This is on an iPad mini 2 with Retina running iOS 8.3

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please also try closing the game and all other applications running in the background. This should free up necessary system resources. (To close an app running in the background on iOS 6 and before: double tap the home button to make all running apps appear at the bottom of the screen, hold down on an app you wish to close and red buttons will appear, tap the red buttons to close the apps. If on iOS 7/8, double tap the home button and swipe up on the open apps to close them). Then restart your device, and after it has finished restarting, only start the Game of Thrones app, and you should be able to successfully start the app.
Bad news - I have just experienced the exact same problem. I am also partway through ep. 4, and when I start up the app it starts loading, gets to the checking for DLC and updating choices parts, fades to black and then the music cuts out and nothing more happens. I took your advice and restarted the iPad, then opened only GoT, and this did not help.
EDIT: Partway through writing this post, it actually finally loaded! It took several minutes though, just hang in there. If it is helpful for the devs, the next part of the story is the visit to Highpoint.
Thank you for providing the extra information, I will make sure to pass it along to the team. I hope you are now able to enjoy the game!
