Asher and Beskha

Does anyone else ship them? I've really grown to love Beshka as the season has progressed, and I really want to tell her that I love her after we're done slaughtering the Whitehills. She'd be a formidable and trustworthy Lady Forrester, I can't believe some people actually want to marry Gwyn!

She's no princess, but she's definitely worthy for a Lord like Asher.

A man doesn't choose who he loves. Your family should understand that.

  • I ship Beskherwyn

  • I don't think anybody can realistically ship that.

    I ship Beskherwyn

  • It's too much of a sibling relationship for that imo, as far as I'm concerned she's a Forrester in all but name.

  • I couldn't ship them. I love their sibling relationship too much, and I can't see it as being romantic.

  • Fair point. They have been completely platonic thus far, I only really considered them as a possibility when I saw Beshka's reaction when Asher stayed behind. I'd be okay if they stayed friends but I'd still take a chance on romance

  • I see them more as a brother and sister thing, not as a romantic one, considering the fact that Beshka calls him "little brother" and Asher calls her "sister."

  • Yeah I totally get that they are more of a brother and sister relationship so far. I was just curious if anyone else considered shipping them both, I really can't imagine a better partner for Asher.

But her family has been totally screwing with us the entire season? Even if the Whitehills bend the knee they will rise with blades in their hands. I don't see how Gwyn could possibly be a good suitor, especially since most players will at least kill her brother.

Edit: also the reason he was exiled in the first place... you're either going to have to murder her father or deal with an angry Ludd... no win either way. Gwyn is NOT a viable option.

    Gwyn Whitehill

  • I'm happy I'm not alone! I've shipped these two since episode 2. They would be so wonderful couple: they complement each other. Asher doesn't need some
pretty well-mannered lady like Gwyn but someone who will be ready for any sacrifice for him, who will follow him anywhere. And this women is Beskha. In may opinion, House Forrester really needs the Lord like Asher and the Lady like Beskha.

  • Yes!!!! Somebody who agrees with me! Haha

I think you put it the best way... House Forrester needs a Lord like Asher and a Lady like Beshka. Both are strong, proficient, even ruthless at times but never cruel or unfair.

Besides, Asher was exiled because of Gwyn. I want to show up with my badass eastern bride at my right hand.

I ship Jaime and Brienne, not Jaime and Cersei.

Jaime and Brienne actually feels more similar to Asher and Beshka, while Gwyn and Asher feels more like Jaime and Cersei. Who knows, I'm just saying that I hope we have the option at least.

  • Sorry but can't see them as lovers since they keep calling each other brother and sister. And most importantly I ship Asher and Gwyn too much, I love their Romeo and Juliet kind of story and I can't wait to see their possible reunion in episode 6!

I don't think so, especially since Brienne does appear to have a crush on Jaime on the books. Can't say Jaime feels the same way about her, unfortunately.

And sure, everybody is entitled to their own ships. Beskha and Asher are not even my NOTP in the game (while Jaime and Cersei definitely are my NOTP in the books).

Oh, also, if that's an option - if Asher and Beskha drop the sibling thing and admit their romantic feelings for each other or something like that - I would pick Beskha over Gwyn everyday.

Being a book reader, I do think Jaime has feelings for Brienne. He randomly thinks about her in his perspective and has gone to some great lengths to honor her.

Just to explain my pov: Asher/Gwyn were once in love similarly to Jaime/Cersei, but both couples spent considerable time apart and changed for better or worse, and their love isn't the same. Beshka and Brienne are both rougher than Gwyn/Cersei, but no less wise or formidable. They were the women that these changed men now needed and deserved. Just my point of view though.

Im talking about the idea of Beshka being a lady. I see her like Brienne in that regard. She'd rather be out there fighting than settle down trying to act like a genteel woman.

  • But why would she die first?( I can't understand) Also lady doesn't need to act like a genteel women

It isn't possible if Asher was left behind, but if he's alive I can see the relationship evolving before the end of the finale.

I just don't think it's fair/logical for Asher's only possible ship to be with Gwyn Whitehill. I mean Asher is coming home with soldiers to destroy her father and brother (and her, in my case), I think he should have considered her a lost cause a while ago.

  • The term lady is more of a title than anything. If Beshka and Asher became a thing she would logically be the Lord's lady, therefore making her Lady Forrester.

And I would imagine Beshka helping rule with an iron fist, not sitting around sewing as you feel like ladies would do. Beshka is a warrior maiden.

  • By 'not possible' I meant that they don't seem to have feelings for eachother, there hasn't been a single scene that implies otherwise.
