Dunno about Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern, because I haven't seen it, but he was pretty good as Wade Wilson. The screenwriters fucked Deadpool up, not him. :P
Yeah, it'd be neat to have some Wolverine cameo or something. But from what I heard the X-Men movies will now be set in the past and Deadpool looks like is in the present, so no idea how would that work. Though maybe the Deadpool is set in the past too? I dunno. If someone who's more into X-Men movies could enlighten me, I'd be grateful.
I just read an article about how the film might not be good...
Something along the lines of:
* February is a 'dump month' for films,… more meaning that 20th Century Fox may be skeptical on the film's success, hence why it's not getting a summer release.
* Ryan Reynolds hasn't had much success playing comic characters. And let's not forget he already played Wade Wilson in a previous X-Men movie...
* This is Director Tim Miller's FIRST movie!
* The film's usage of 4th wall breaking might be too misunderstood for newcomer audiences.
* Lastly, the film's multi-genre tone (comedy and action) might ruin any chance of heavy hitting moments like a tragedy.
Also I didn't know that this film is going to technically become part of the X-Men series of films!
