Hmmm... I suppose so. I know some players of TWAU decided to read the Fables comics before they played Ep.1 of the game so they didn't go in clueless. I went in completely clueless as I had never heard of the Fables comics before...

Whenever TTG gets their shit together.
I understand it's cool if you want to leave the Faith/Nerissa debate vague/unknown, but seriously … morecome on.
The game wins so many awards and has been nominated so many times as well. If TTG was smart, they'd make S2 in a heart beat.
But they can continue to be mutes, it only just makes the fans mad. No biggie, right?
Telltale will probably start all of this once they finish the finales for game of thrones and tales from the borderlands. Finish the new sto… moreries Minecraft story mode and Twd michoone.
They might make it then but idk maybe they'll decide to make twd S3 first
Problem is though, when choosing one of the cubs, there is limit in choices as well:
Winter: She is way too overpowered to be played as the MC, since she's the new North Wind
Ghost: He's a Zephyr, so he has no form, so pretty unplayable as MC
Ambrose: While he is not overpowered like Winter, nor is he a Zephyr like Ghost, his personality attributes lacks those of a MC. Even in the comics, he is the watcher, and Historian for Fables who judges the rest (like his prophesy), so I doubt he would be active as a MC would need to be.
Darien: The son who is most like Bigby (only focused on his Wolf heritage, unlike other cubs who learnt their other transformations), he could have been a good candidate, but sadly he's dead
Therese: While I have no idea how powerful Therese would be, she is still the Queen of Toyland, and while not always, she does seem to have her subjects accompanied most of the times. What I liked about Season 1 of TWAU was that Bigby had no help from others, and it was him against all odds and being triumphant. I'm not so sure same can be applied with Therese.
Connor & Blossom: Guess that only leaves Connor and Blossom. But after seeing their last stories, I'm not sure I would want any of them to be an MC of a possible Season 2.
Connor has the problem that he grows up too much like Prince Charming, with his hero bold prophesy and dashing personality, and Blossom with her whole pauper prophesy and Jungle girl style (not to mention her 3 or 4 companions who she has with her).
Granted, this is what their characters will evolve into, and there may be a way to slip in a game between the final battle and their last story, but I just don't find them to be engagin MCs.
Not only that, but a game set in skip between the battle that didn't happen and the big reunion would severely limit the settings to just Wolf Family.
Don't get me wrong, Bigby has always been (and will always be) my favourite Fables character (followed closely by Snow), but part of the reason I loved Fables, and TWAU is that we got meet and interact also with other characters such as Bufkin, Colin, Jack (Horner, despite how much I hate him), Crane (prick), Bluebeard, Charming, Totenkinder, Cinderella, Boy Blue etc etc. While there is no doubt that Bigby and Snow are the poster couple (for series and game) of Fables Universe, I don't think that full Fables experience would be complete without those other Fables (Fabletown ensemble cast?).
And some fan faourites such as Cindy (my favourite character outside of Wolf family), Totenkinder, Beast, Ozma, etc won't be able to appear, since they're well......dead.
Both scenarios (Scenario 1: between TWAU season 1 & issue #1 of Fables, Scenario 2: skip between the battle that didn't happen and the big reunion) have their own sets of problems/limitations, but if I had to choose, I would choose scenario 1, since I'll still be able to see more of Fabletown (since no characters are dead.....yet), and other characters.
It would be within the comic timeline. The skip between the battle that didn't happen and the big reunion. That is one of the best times for… more a sequel. Another prequel to the comic would be severely limited in terms of Bigby's chases as well as timeframe.
Or they could do a prequel to season one, like one of Bigby's adventures during World War II, Bigby fought even before the Americans entered the war. It would be interesting for everyone. The comic readers could even get a secret bonus.
Bigby did fight in both World Wars and possibly the Civil War as well. I mean, we get a lot of insight to his time during WW2 where he lived in Germany under the guise of being a national cuz his German and accent were both flawless.

While I always have found that idea interesting, the problem is though, it may just become too much of a Bigby-centric only story, with just too many mundies in the mix, and not enough (or worst case scenario almost zero) fables.
Yes, TWAU is Bigby-centric, but it also does involve other Fables (in the storyline mix), and somewhat very limited mundies involvement (especially with the script rewrite), and I'm not so sure it would be interesting for people who want to see other characters like Pinocchio, Boy Blue etc and not just Bigby (and Bigby always went alone to those wars).
Not to mention the whole "Fables must not disclose their true nature to the mundies" rule (which Bigby from my memory only bent/broke once in his adventures during WWII.)
Sorry to be the one always pointing out the problems/issues with your ideas. Your ideas are interesting without a doubt, but I'm just not sure it would be satisfying/interesting to everyone.

Come to think of it, you're right. Cindy is one exception (she joined him in Paris 1942, and Cindy does mention it was her early days as a spy, and Bigby kept on dragging her from one war to another....... most likely to train her I think).
But I don't think any other Fable joined them, so unless the player is fan of either or both Bigby and Cindy, it will be a tough sell, i think.
Could work nicely as a DLC (Cinderella DLC maybe?), but as a whole Season 2, it will be less effective, since there will be much more mundies than there are Fables.
So I'm playing through it for the second time and this game is just so good. I really hope they make a season 2. And sorry to be that guy but I hope they don't continue Minecraft and GoT for a second season, because there is no way they can juggle those and a Wolf season 2 with all their other commitments.

I know my opinion on Minecraft may change as like you say... It's not even out yet! But I'm sorry, nothing can save GoT for me. The quality of Wolf is just so much higher.

I wish I have more dreams about The Wolf Among Us Season 2. Once I had a dream where Bigby essentially becomes Daredevil. That was a wonderful dream...

Anyone who hasn't read the comics would end up reading the comics if they end up liking playing as one of the cubs.

Rrrrighti-o.............
The first season did get people interested, the second season could make it impossible not to read the comics. Logical sense
No, if TTG was smart, they'd be cautious about making a sequel.
They're not stopping anything. A second season was never even announced. Where did you get the idea that it was?
No. After that, they'll be working on TWD Season 3 and the Super Show. And after that, they'll have the Marvel game.
I agree. Doing it right is more important than doing it right now
Not another one of THESE threads.

Tales from the borderlands is the best telltale game

MineCraft hasn't even started yet :P
And GOT could be good!!!!

True that Wolf is best!
But I actually like GOT
Aw, I thought this was all sarcasm. Then I realised this was commented before it was announced lol. Funny anyway.
Can't wait to play F4.
lol this is a funny thread.

Picturing that in my head is fucking badass >:D
And it was a fucking badass dream too.
