I think it would be awesome if Vaughn became an intelligent psycho. Just imagine him running around with a buzzaxe and shiz lol.
I will eat your babies! And do your taxes, cash only.
Great stuff lol.
I'd honestly prefer the TT characters to be NPCs. I like playing as them in the context of the TT games, but as far as I'm concerned, Borderlands characters are made by their trees and I'd rather them come up with some more overpowered ridiculous characters to get used to. I can't say Fiona would really scream powered up VH to me unless she got a design overhaul.
So, my husband and I have been talking about this for months now, but what we think is the game battleborn is a test run of what they want to do with borderlands 3. Basically, what we think would be awesome, instead of set characters, you create your own character and choose your own faction. We were thinking the factions be Vault Hunter, Hyperion, or freelance. You choose one action skill from a list and once you choose an action skill you choose three skill trees from a list that correspond to it. From there, you complete quests, battle other factions, and help to forge the story of borderlands. I think a story tree like the first fable would be awesome!

I highly doubt Rhys will be a vault hunter, but I can see him somehow (idk maybe he gives you a side quest or something) being in bl3 as npc… more.
As for Fiona, although it's obvious that she's a vault hunter, I don't see her being playable either. ButIWouldLikeToSeeGearBoxToProveMeWrongPleaseHaveFionaAsAPlayableCharacterIWouldDoAnything
She'd be the heiress to the Torgue Corp., that's a legit head canon of my that Mr. Torgue adopts her and/or leaves it in his will. And for some random reason he blows himself up in the most awesome of fashions.
A lot of people misunderstand that one line at the beginning of episode 4 to mean that Rhys was calling Fiona a vault hunter. What really happened is they are still looking for the vault, and so Rhys says something along the lines of "isn't that what you're doing, too" when she insults bandits and vault hunters. My memory is hazy.
I think that Fiona will be a playable Vault Hunter...I really only think this because Rhys actually mentions her as a VH. However, she may b… moree one of the DLC characters. (If they are following the same format as the other two games)
As far as Rhys goes...I think he will be a major part in the game somehow but not a Vault Hunter. He may help the Vault Hunters or be like the new "Handsome Jack". I can see his character going either way at the moment.
Fiona: He wants a vault. Why else would he be collecting Gorty's pieces? He's just like every idiot on Pandora looking to strike it rich.
Rhys: Aren't, uh...aren't you, kinda, you know, Vault hunting now?
Fiona: Are you calling me an idiot?
Rhys: That's what I did there, yeah.
I see what you're saying but that doesn't make sense to me. She isn't looking for this vault because she wants to but because the Stranger is making her. She wouldn't be getting any money out of it. So why would Rhys parallel Fiona's current status with getting rich?

If not every single character from Tales makes at least some sort of appearance.
(Warning, Justifiable Nerdrage Incoming)
I'll be done… more, just done. Like seriously, these characters are easily the most interesting characters in the Borderlands universe at all.
If they don't get the respect they deserve, and Tales is forever known as some lame side story. I'll be legit done with Borderlands.
They actually make the Vault Hunters in Borderlands the Presequel talk so that they actually feel like they have personalities. One of my favorite additions to the series.

She is still vault hunting. Doesn't make a difference. In fact, the wording heavily implies to me that it IS the vault of the traveller that Rhys is referring to since a quick change in wording by the writer could make it very clear that Fiona is searching for multiple vaults. They kept it vague for non spoiler reasons.

Hope to see Rhys and Fiona as villains, while Sasha, August, Vaughn and....dunno who will become new VH who will travel to search for them or smth..
but yes, seeing Rhys and Fiona as couple of villains would be amazing.
And in the ending of Dragon Keep about how the Crimson Raiders were gonna blow up Helios. I wonder of their reactions on BL3. Meaning, the BL2 vault hunters will return and maybe the Crimson Raiders and Atlas would work together...? Maybe...?

You have a point. xD

i would like to have a rhys character with some sort of echo eye ability and an ability to spawn a loaderbot (loaderbros skill tree)
Mah lawd :O

Makes me think they're definitely planning to make her one of the BL3 Vault Hunters.
Something like that 2k China Borderlands Online but more advanced. I'd dig it
I think Tina would be a weapons manufacturer tbh
(╯°□°)╯ New Legendaries (╯°□°)╯
Exactly!
I wish we had that, that'll be amazing
Yeah it's better for them to be NPCs, at least we get to see them hopefully
Nah
Zed X Tannis 4 ever m8
omg XD

They need to bring back the Double Anarchies!!!!
Doesn't really seem suited to someone who's an explosives expert, IMO...I'm sure she'd be much better off running around blowing up baddies.

I want them to be in the game, but not protagonists. If I remember correctly protagonist in bordlerands don't talk much.
Tbh I dont even think they will be in the game. I want them to, but I don't think it will happen.
I think that if there is no Dr. Ted, the GearBox wont last long enough to release BL3.
Considering how well received Tales is, I don't see a reason why they wouldn't be in the game in some way.

Torgue got booted from the Torgue corporation in the Wattlegobbler dlc. So even if he adopted her (and died) she wouldn't inherit anything.
Dont forget Dumpy
There was no Wattlegobbler DLC. Gearbox didn't troll the fan base at all

I hope that some of the previous vault hunters are playable characters too. I want to play more Krieg and Gaige.
it could be you...
it could be me...
it could even be RHYS
omg yes

I thought Rhys was going to rule Hyperion but by the looks of it Rhys is gonna bring Atlas back. As for Fiona she Might be a dlc Character
