I noticed that most of the countries I've created are dystopias, so I've decided to create my idealized society: Ohala! I based it around my political philosophy (Social Democrat with a splash of Anarchism). The three principles are as follows.
-- Open democracy
-- Labor-friendly capitalism
-- Small government: no funding for spirituality, police and minimal defense. Less welfare than most leftist states.
-- Environmental stewardship
I look forward to seeing how my perfect society eventually unravels. It will be tough keeping the size of government under control.
