What were some aspects of Tales that you enjoyed the most?
Can be anything from graphics, artstyle, characters, character development, themes, ideas, and action that you enjoyed or really got into in Tales?
For me, I really enjoyed how almost every action scene in each episode had its own flavor and felt different each time to stand on its own, it's a real treat when someone doesn't reuse the same action scene twice or more.
Another thing I really appreciated was the aspect of "family" in episode 5, given for what all these characters have been through since episode 1, it was nice to see them all reconcile and work as a team and become a "family" of sorts in helping a friend in need at least in the way I played my Rhys and Fiona. The ending with all of them hugging it out is such a feel good moment for me that I can't help but feel a genuine connection.
Stories that manage to combine over the top hilarity with heartfelt emotion and drama always impress me if they're done well and I feel Tales is no exception to this. Some might say the comedy is forced but I personally feel it helps these characters become more colorful and fun to hang around with and more likeable and makes the story a lot more enjoyable and entertaining.
That's all I got for now. Thoughts?

the humour, the tone (very important) and the sense of adventure, also the genre, it is basically a mix of sci-fi, apocalypse (i think we can say that is a genre now) and crime all in one, and i enjoy those genres very much, and of course the world building that borderlands was already good at before tales.
i would watch tales from the borderlands if it was a film or a TV show (like Archer or something), but as a gamer the interaction the game has makes it all the better.
The amazing characters and great humor were my favorite parts of this game. Telltale nailed it at least in my opinion!
Mostly the humor and the amount of Borderlands lore they added. It all translated very seamlessly.
I loved all the characters, Telltale did a fantastic job with their characterization and for making me feel emotion towards them. When i first started the game i never thought that i would feel emotion when seeing Loader Bot "die" and the shock when he turned out to be alive and the stranger which i think was one of the best plot twists i have experienced in a video game.
Even Scooters death made me sad and we hardly spent any time with him, i never played any of the Borderlands game with him in it so my first experience with him was in Tales from the Borderlands so yet again Telltale did a great job of making me feel emotion towards a character that i hardly knew.
Jack.
The Rhys and Jack aspect was genius, I also like the sort of sketches at the start when Marcus is saying what happened last time and th music, the Borderlands series has some of the best music and this was no different.
Telltale managed to reflect original Borderlands very good, I personally liked everything about the episodes, although some parts were abit nonsense I mean Gortys can jump like balerina or do moves like Jackie Chan.
Also Jack, Borderlands wouldn't be Borderlands without Jack
Borderlands 1 managed to be borderlands without Jack
The music
Amazing cinematic intro sequences are the first that come to mind. In Ep 1 I didn't expect it at all... I knew that Borderlands is famous for the intro music, but In my opinion TTG brought it to another level of absolute awesomeness. Loved every song and still do.
But overall this game was brilliant, I loved every second that I spent in that world with its characters.
I love the characters, the lightheartedness and the humor. I was used to the dark and grittiness of Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, that I found Tales from the Borderlands so refreshing. The serious and dramatic moments never becomes overwhelming depressing. Scooter's death was sad, but it was also heroic. I love the ending because it was happy and conclusive.
Also in every episode, I have such a big smile on my face when something awesome or heartwarming happens. Instead of feeling tensed, I feel relaxed, happy and having fun playing this adventure. That's how it should be and I really hope that we get to spend more time with these characters again.
Yeah but comparing Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2, second one was more successful
The humor was excellent. Just like the rest of the Borderlands games.
The characters and their relationship with one another, was by far my favorite part though. I adored Fiona and Sasha's interaction, they felt like sisters who genuinely loved and looked out for one another. It was very believable. But, Jack and Rhys' interactions were by far my favorite. It was fun to see Jack in a different light. He's still a murderous bastard who deserved to die, but it was cool to bond with him. It was incredibly entertaining to watch Jack easily manipulate fanboy Rhys with a few well placed compliments and nicknames. Evil Jack was also incredible. When he shouted, "I'm sorry deserved it? I brought order to this pisshole oh planet. [distorted voice] Oh you can't even begin to understand my intentions you think I HAVEN'T HAD TO MAKE SACRIFICES? [mocking tone] TOO MANY PEOPLE DIED. [yelling] GIVE ME A BREAK! THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE DO!" My favorite Jack line in the whole game. It was also cool to see such an open and sweet friendship between Vaughn and Rhys. They were definitely the broest of bros. One of my other favorite relationships was between Sasha and Rhys. Rhys can be so adorkable with Sasha. He tried his hardest to "flirt", and from what I saw she seemed to find his attempts endearing. I loved his "She's everything I'm not." speech, it was sweet af and was a great look into his character. Finally Rhys and Fiona's progressive friendship was incredible. It felt very natural, they had amazing chemistry. The walk through the vault was just...so wonderful. It was an amazing goodbye to the two characters I had come to love so much.
I also loved the goodbye to Jack. I know some people weren't totally satisfied. But it was my favorite part of the whole game. Watching Rhys get over Jack in such a powerful way was insane to watch. Seeing Jack fall to his knees begging for his life after he had threatened to haunt Rhys and strangle him was pathetic. It was a cathartic experience to crush his AI. It was an excellent goodbye to my all time favorite villain. I'll miss the evil bastard. 10/10 would crush him again though.
Wow. This comment ended up being way too long. Sorry about that.
Everything, I loved practically everything.
Outside of what everyone else is saying, the cinematography overall. There's so many amazing scenes that I feel are only as good as they are thanks to the direction and camera work. Not to mention that there's a lot of beautiful sweeping/panning shots here and there, lots of great cuts/transitions between scenes, especially those between fiction and reality (Rhys and Fiona's 'embellisments', etc), and just a lot of great camera work overall. It's something that their recent games have been lacking a bit of.
I've said it before, but seriously, the cinematography in this game is criminally overlooked.
Isn't it always?
I was confused by the "She's everything I am not" speech. It's as if Rhys understimates himself, he is definitely as brave as Sasha and has a moral code too. The gun part is probably true though.
Fiona!!! ....her Cheshire cat smile is simply epic!!!
It made me laugh. A lot. And the music was fantasic.
The characteristics of the characters.
The advance of relationships and feelings towards each other.
Cinematic openings.
Top 3 anyways.
The characters.
The relationships and how each character was defined just felt genuine, to the point that this cast is very much the most relatable and loveable cast of characters that Telltale have ever formed. The Rhysha moments; Fiona and Rhys' bickering; Vaughn's comic timing; Loader Bot and Gortys - there was no weak link in the main cast. But probably one of the best achievements in this regard is how they defined each character so subtlely for the player - The end scene where you are basically having a conversation with yourself is just seamless, when in most cases that scenario would be awkward and take the player out of the immersion. Instead, it added to the immersion that such great characterisation creates
EDIT: Oh and of course, the Voice Actors did a hell of a job in making them all feel so human and genuine. Hats off to them
I kinda think that's the point. That's why I thought it was interesting. Maybe he doesn't think he's good enough for her in some way? I disagree with him. But that kinda insecurity happens, even when it's not true. Side note: I loved how Troy Baker delivered the line. It was sweet, endearing, and had a slight unsure tone. Which works really well for a new relationship. I will admit it works a little better for a Rhys who trusted Jack. But, I still liked the line a lot. It showed how much he respects her as a person.
I enjoyed the most the following:
