You know what bothered me about Mira's tale? We weren't given the option to bludgeon Morgryn or whatever to death with that torch. I mean, if my character is getting executed for killing a man anyway...
The poll kind of takes in two extremes with no middle ground. I'm not satisfied with the route taken in Mira's storyline but I'm don't believe it to be a deep mistake..
Give how Mira is now determinant, I don't have much faith that we'll be seeing her again if she is alive, especially in Season 2.
Persona… morelly I found it ridiculous that Mira's story was railroaded into this direction, her friends abandon her save for Tom who we don't know why exactly he is helping, and who is his master/boss, all while ignoring the key and the decree she had stole, which in the end served no purpose whatsoever. And not to mention that she was the only POV character in King's Landing, meaning that unless anyone else ventures there, we'll never see the place again.
...Come to think of it, Cersei and Tyrion's absence in the finale gives me the impression that Telltale weren't able to give them bigger roles due to not having enough budget.
You know what bothered me about Mira's tale? We weren't given the option to bludgeon Morgryn or whatever to death with that torch. I mean, if my character is getting executed for killing a man anyway...
I have to be honest, I never liked Mira at the beginning, but towards the end I've come to really enjoy her character. Its a shame that shes determinant and Morgryn turned out to be an ass. I shipped them together so hard lol.
Deep inside I kinda hoped he wasn't an ass and that he and Mira could eventually play the game together, but I just couldn't trust him. I wish Mira had a dialogue choice like "HAH! I knew it was you all along!", but that wouldn't make sense given the situation she was in when he revealed everything.
Now, it would be very interesting to keep interacting with him on this situation. I really liked their dialogues in this episode, and how I never knew if Morgryn was going to physically hurt Mira if I said something too sassy. That's what I love about him; I'm never sure of what he is going to do next (although I saw his "betrayal" coming months ago). I wanted to keep it up for a few episodes in Season 2, but because Mira is determinant, I know it is impossible. I really enjoy reading Sansa's chapters after she got taken away by Littlefinger, and I really think we could develop a similar relationship with Morgryn. Similar, not identical, since Mira is much less passive and docile than Sansa and Morgryn seems to have no problem with unleashing his rage on Mira, while Littlefinger is creepy but not mean to Sansa; which is understandable, since Littlefinger's problem was with Ned and not Sansa, while Morgryn's problem is with Mira.

Well it also gave people (like myself) a very direct view into the politics that went down in the Game of Thrones world. And it introduces a lot of characters that affected Ironwrath from a distant place.
They've pretty much written her out. We'll be lucky if a surviving Mira makes a cameo in Season 2.
Mira's storyline frustrated me because… more I never felt as if my choices mattered. They did when I was playing Gared, Rodrik and Asher. But there was so little pay-off to begin with Mira's choices. I think she was there to get a perspective in King's Landing and little else.
I refused to marry that cunt because I thought Mira could escape in another way, when they just executed her in front of me, I paused the ga… moreme, got up from my chair and I screamed like I was going to die. Just like how Markiplier did when he got someone killed playing Until Dawn.
How was Mira any more intelligent than any other character in the game? There wasn't a single dumb character from what I can tell, and Mira seemed just as competent as everyone else. Maybe you're referring to her unique status in the game world? Anyhow ya I really enjoyed how messed up Kings Landing was, I'm fairly confident Tom will have something to say about Mira's execution and I think we'll play as him.
So it seems Telltale did indeed make a major mistake with turning Mira into a determinant character - to their credit it was unexpected - bu… moret not truly beneficial for the storyline.
Mira was the only 'intellectual' POV in the game, she had the potential to have the most exciting storyline since she's based in Kings Landing - but instead the writers opted to end her tale one way or the other. I just don't know how Season 2 will find a worthy replacement for her... or if we'll even be in Kings Landing at all in Season 2...
In place of this I would have much preferred the death of Asher/Rodrik than the death/determinant status of Mira.
Now I find myself wondering if her execution was a more merciful option than marrying Morgryn and getting completely sidelined from the main story.
I wasn't about to marry a slimy creep and let Tom die in my place. Not after he looked out for me and was a more real friend than anyone at King's Landing. I'd rather face death with dignity. It is too sad either way though...
I cringe at the realization that Mira's third tier nobility excludes her from a trial under the Kings Law.
Just picture it... the trial of Mira Forrester, even if her fate was sealed anyway.
I really do wonder about Season 2... I have Mira alive but can they really keep up her side of the story with her being determinant? Because I sort of doubt it unless we play Morgryn and interact with her or something.
It makes me really sad, she was in my Top 3 characters.
From the poll I cast it seems approximately 1/3rd of voters were overall satisfied with Mira's determinant fate, while the remaining 2/3rds of voters viewed it as Telltale making a major mistake. Realistically I can picture Mira's determinant fate fitting in with GoT's theme, she was after all still just a handmaiden and lacked any real influence and power, so going up against those who actually possessed it would not go well for her.
A lot of potential was still wasted for her though - so much for Mira dealing with the Faith Militant or the downfall of both Cersei and Margaery and the overall decline of House Lannister over Kings Landing. Maybe Season 2 will move on from Kings Landing all together... but maybe it will be replaced with Dorne.
I can't help but feel pessimistic even with Mira still alive, because there will still be something preventing her from being the same major POV she once was.
On the plus side maybe this makes room for Talia to be a POV in Season 2 - however it still feels like Mira was underused - her character could have been more expanded on had she remained non-determinant into Season 2 - storywise it feels like something valuable has been forever lost.
Morgryn is for sure an interesting character. I would love to see more of him in season 2 as well, but like you said, it's unlikely that there will be more interactions between him and Mira due to her being determinant. So unfortunate, I think there relationship would be so interesting to watch develop!
I won't say "I told you so"...

I agree. I would've married him till I got the chance to kill the $&@! But when he suggested that Tom would be the patsy I said no! And now my Mira is dead. I want to cry. This is bull. But I can't imagine how terrible I'd feel seeing Tom die for me instead. So, well... I don't know. I wonder if I got the shittiest ending for all involved characters possible. I let mother die, I got Rodrik killed in Ep 5 and Asher is half dead by the end of 6. I left the north grove defenseless, which prolly bites me in the ass later. I didn't take Cotter's heart, so whatshername's minions aren't gonna listen to her much longer I reckon. In their speech about my characters, the NPC's didn't have much good about my peeps to say. Ugh. I'm not happy with the end, but if I replay I don't think I would or could change any of my choices. Iron From Ice!

Yeah its kinda really sad to see it end this way... she was probably one of the best characters with so much potential. I'm going to miss her a lot. Also I really didn't like how she got less of a role after each episode, her role should've been more important. Also the fact that we never will be able to find out who Tom was working for.
a). Mira already dies off-screen at some point before Season 2
b). She becomes a minor background character (like Bowen) and is unable to… more help the Forresters, being Morgryn's hostage
c). Telltale actually goes the extra mile and produces one last determinant storyline for Mira in Season 2 - of course her determinant status means she will die eventually, probably won't make it past S2 Ep 1.
Its heartbreaking to know that Telltale has essentially retired her character, she won't be a major presence anymore, and therefore have little impact on future storylines. They can only go so far for determinant characters...
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that even if I save her life she is still essentially defeated and will never be able to rise again since she won't be a POV in Season 2 (unless TT surprises us again, though I doubt they would go that specific route).
I agree. I would've married him till I got the chance to kill the $&@! But when he suggested that Tom would be the patsy I said no! And … morenow my Mira is dead. I want to cry. This is bull. A strange new perspective has opened up... while Mira and Morgryn would obviously hate each other, so some extent their relationship could be considered symbiotic - as in they both need each other for their own reasons. Despite pretty much being a ruthless monster, Mira needs Morgryn at least for now to protect her from the Lannister guards - and Morgryn needs Mira for her family name.
But at least Sansa and Littlefinger do scheme together, even if its Littlefinger who's calling the shots - in Mira's case it seems Morgryn intends to take complete control in his schemes and Mira is simply a tool to help facilitate them. I really hope in a determinant path she can escape him... even if her story is more or less over now anyway.
Morgryn is for sure an interesting character. I would love to see more of him in season 2 as well, but like you said, it's unlikely that the… morere will be more interactions between him and Mira due to her being determinant. So unfortunate, I think there relationship would be so interesting to watch develop!
What if Mira isn't really dead? I still hope... The reason for my hope is that we never found out who exactly told Tom to watch over Mira. Maybe someone has a magic trick up their sleeve and Mira didn't get beheaded. That's just what people SAW, but it didn't happen...
I was sitting there like "girl, what kind of options are these?"
Die after I did all that work disposing all the evidence, or marry Jerkface Mogry, who took a care to explicitly spell how I had nothing to look forward to besides a lifetime of assault and watching him shit all over my ancestral home?
Even if they pick Talia as a new PoV, there's no way she's going to be sent to KL, so we're going to lose that whole side of things. Unless they make us play as Sera or something, which ew. Sera is the Literal Worst :P.
No, she's dead if she refuses to marry Morgryn, and she'll stay dead. There will be no North Grove blood magic ritual to resurrect her (though really we still don't know what 'power' the North Grove actually holds), and I doubt Tom the Coalboy is friends with Red Priests or the Brotherhood Without Banners.
I did everything in my power for Mira to survive no matter the cost, including betraying Sera's trust and sacrificing poor pleading Tom, yet in a way she's still 'dead' thanks to her determinant status.

I actually thought while playing the scene in the litter, "well, Abeille called this one." So you can say I told you so.
And while my Mira told Morgryn to get fucked (in so many words) and went to her death with dignity intact and I may have cried a bit and am super bummed there is one thing that will forever drive me crazy - what was that damn key from episode one for?!

I liked it, people seem to think mira was some major player, shes a handmaiden who comes from a lower house.
She fucked with two many rivals in kings landing, and this is coming from someone who didnt kill the guard or keep the decree. I was playing smart but defualt scenes with mira show she is out of her depth.
Plus I feel she needed to die if you refused to show true consequences.
Also personal opinion but mira could still be playable in season 2, the other character only really mention her now and again so payer who save her could just have a few scenes. On that note its never too late for telltale to actually try with choice, this episode did it to a perfect level.
I thought Mira could escape in another way,
How? I mean serious question, mira had no allies apart from a captured coal boy, how did you think she would escape?
My guess is, that Mira's best honest chance is to betray Sera, thereby keeping Lady Margery on your side, marry Morgan and in the future use her connection to the Queen to reclaim her household on her terms. Most likely with the help of Lady Olenna.
Just my guess though.
BTW did we ever find out who the same hell controlled Tom?
Well.. this game doesn't exactly spare protagonists from the chopping block; two have died before this. Not to mention they outright say it in the cellar, marry morgyn or die.
There is no one to save mira, Tom is captured, Sera is a pussy and Margery and Cersei dont care.
I'm convinced that GRRM would never have ended Mira's storyline like this. In the books all the main characters have different purposes and they only get killed after they have had real impact on the main story, other main characters, or if their death has a major impact. In Mira's case it was neither. Her actions had hardly any influence on the main story about Ironrath and the Forrester family and her death changes nothing.
I'm affraid the only purpose for her entire storyline was to give Tyrion, Cersei and Margaery (and their actors) a reason to be in the game.
Well that poll is a bit of a loaded question. Our options are either this is 100% a satisfactory conclusion or a major mistake by Telltale. It's far more complicated than either option, and particularly silly given that we don't know the future. Maybe the now Mira-less people will play as Tom, or something. I don't know, you don't know, and the story, or at least that aspect of it, seems fine to me.
No, we didn't - and with his own determinant death I'm not sure if we ever will.
I'm also keen on the idea of keeping in Margery's favor and marrying Morgryn, theoretically its the strongest position Mira can find herself in - since her only other ally Tom needs to die for her to live. Its still however quite a long shot - considering Mira did end up scheming behind Margery's back and Margery's own tenure as Queen doesn't last long in Season 5 since she's arrested thanks to Cersei.
Varys was probably Tom's boss - though I'm not sure how his interest in keeping Mira alive fitting in somewhere in his grand scheme for a Targaryen Restoration.
My guess is, that Mira's best honest chance is to betray Sera, thereby keeping Lady Margery on your side, marry Morgan and in the future use… more her connection to the Queen to reclaim her household on her terms. Most likely with the help of Lady Olenna.

Sounds good maybe the whitehills didn't kill rodrik but look like they did maybe harys didn't kill your mother right in front of you but just look like she died we can hope but in truth well I'll let you decide

Bad guys in GoT often end up getting away with their deeds AND living relatively well afterwards.
Prime examples being Walder Frey and Roose Bolton.
The poll kind of takes in two extremes with no middle ground. I'm not satisfied with the route taken in Mira's storyline but I'm don't believe it to be a deep mistake..
This is more evident when after you completed the finale, she is absent from the main menu screen even if you let her live.
"Hey, dear betrothed, by the way..."
Morgryn turns around and raises one of these amazing eyebrows.
"THINK FAST!", Mira smacks his face with the torch.
As much as I love him, I don't know if I could pass on this chance :P
I can't help but feel that wow, Mira's entire plotline was pointless.
Me too, and I had so much hope for her to get a better treatment from TellTale in Season 2! But now that is simply impossible to happen.
I have to be honest, I never liked Mira at the beginning, but towards the end I've come to really enjoy her character. Its a shame that shes determinant and Morgryn turned out to be an ass. I shipped them together so hard lol.

When the sword staggered in the air I was expecting Tom or Sera to protest the execution.

Sounds good maybe the whitehills didn't kill rodrik but look like they did maybe harys didn't kill your mother right in front of you but just look like she died we can hope but in truth well I'll let you decide
