I laid down in my bedroom, staring at the light that nearly blinded me earlier. I scrolled through the amount of text messages I’ve sent to Fiona, which it turns out to be none. I’m still trying to figure her out. She hasn’t given me much to go off of for me to start a conversation.

That memory at the park a few days ago played back in my mind, still with perfect clarity. Her tone of voice when she said it, she sounded so confident in her answer...
All I’ve been doing is talking about me and my problems with Vasquez, while she walked by my side listening to me, albeit laughing at my expense but she knows me. I think back to my scan of her, she lives in an apartment like me but not as fancy. She has no job and her sister is the only one working...that’s all I’ve gotten. I sigh. Perfect plan Rhys, date someone you barely know just because she hates you and won't use you.
Vaughn warned me of this while we were tracking Fiona down and I ignored him because it looked so perfect in my head, like all my plans.
