Godwyn Maven slowly trudged his young teenage body through the muddy road, struggling to carry his large sack full of makeshift survival supplies, but no food and water. He wore filthy and torn rags, almost completely falling of him. He grew weaker every step of the way, his body aching for water. He took a few more steps before coming upon a pig farm. He looked all around him, noticing nothing but miles and miles of trees and leaves. After a few more steps, he finally gave out, dropping to his knees as his sack came crashing off of him, his supplies spilling out of a hole. He lied in the mud, the left sde of his face pressed against the ground, dirtying him even further. Tears stung at his eyes as he closed them from the headache building up inside of him.
He tried to get up again, desperate to survive, but it was no use. He hadn’t consumed any food in at least five days, and he had drank the last of his water three days ago. Godwyn stilled try to move, filled with determination. With one final push, he only fell to the ground again. Giving up, he closed his eyes as he let his mind lose itself to the darkness.
Godwyn slowly woke up ahead, his head bobbing up and down as the ground moved at a rapid place below him. He heard the galloping of a horse, and soon after he realized he was indeed on the back of a horse. A man was above him, holding the reins. All he noticed was that the man had some sort of armor on and a thin beard. Gowyn closed his eyes, losing himself again.
Opening his eyes yet again, light finally greeted him, as well as the feeling of comfort around his entire body. He turned his head, noticing that he was in a bed made of wood, with a warm blanket tucked gently on and under him. He looked to the left, where a soft woman’s face awaited him. He opened his mouth to speak.
“Shh child, everything is alright now.” The woman said. He could make out her deep grayish eyes and her slightly auburn colored hair, clearly brushed recently. The woman stood up, walking to the end of the room and opening a door, before shouting something that Godwyn couldn’t make out.
A man walked into the room, with a short beard and greying hair. This may have been the man that was on the horse, Godwyn thought. The man crouched down to the bed’s level, making eye contact with Godwyn.
“You’re safe now. I am Lord Gregor Forrester, and this my wife, Lady Elissa.” He said, gesturing to his the woman, who had a small smile directed at the boy.
“What is your name?” the man, Gregor, asked slowly.
“G-godwyn.” He answered, his voice cracking. This was the first time he had talked to another human being in quite a long time.
“Okay Godwyn. You must be hungry. I’ll get you some food, but you have to promise that you tell me how you got where I found you, the full story.” Lord Gregor said, smiling, a signal to let Godwyn know that he was in no way threatened.
“Y-yes ser.” Godwyn croaked.
“Very well, I’ll be right back.” Lord Gregor said as he nodded, leaving the room with just Godwyn and Lady Elissa. As the woman soothed the boy with golden silence, memories came flooding back. Memories of being kicked out of his home, and his long journey to where he was now. None of them were good memories at all.
King's Landing
Godwyn’s opened his eyes, adjusting to the dim sunlight cracking through the curtains. He sat up, stretching and yawning. He thought about his dream, smiling at the memory of Lord Gregor saving his life. The smile disappeared when he thought of the events leading up to that. They weren’t a joy to remember.
Note: Next part is coming out sooner than later, I lost time for half the chapter but it is being written now
Comments
Next chapter will probably be out in the next few days
I hope Mira is the protaganist again, if she is still alive.
Sorry, the votes are already in and she's dead. Her replacement is a very interesting character though
She is not dead on my Play through.
