  • Hey everyone I figured it out make 2 separate characters make one with mira dieing and other marrying jerk face that way in season 2 next year we'll know how it plays out I personally believe it's just like the ending of dragon age inquisition trespasser dlc if you let mira die than the war on the whitehills will be weaker but more secure however accept jerk face deal and the war against the whitehills will stronger but less secure because clearly jerk face admits he is not an honorable man and cannot be trusted and don't want any of your brothers to survive so he can be lord of ironrath 2 choices your pick

There is a way in canon, but I don't think TellTale would use it because it would feel pretty forced.

In the books, Melisandre glamoured Rattleshirt to look like Mance (and Mance like Rattleshirt) so that the Night's Watch executes the false Mance and the real Mance can work with Jon.

I would be almost okay with that because then I would get to keep playing as Mira, but I would also say "damn that was forced". Especially since we never met a single Red Priest in the game. If we had, well, I would be completely okay with that.

  • Yea, the only thing Mira managed to accomplish in my playthrough is that she warned Duncan about the army that Ludd has been forming and he thanked her for it not being bigger. I guess that's a pretty huge thing but in the end Ironrath falls nonetheless so no impact on the story.

I'm convinced that GRRM would never have ended Mira's storyline like this. In the books all the main characters have different purposes and

  • Mira's story was pointless. Her efforts to aid her family was summed up in one line by Duncan (I think). Despite her efforts, she should have tended to Margery and STFU about her family's problems and burned her mother's letter.

  • that's a good point...maybe she would live??

  • No, that wasn't the mistake. The mistake was Morgryn revealing that he sent the Lannister guard after Mira. If he hadn't, and he got her to her destination, only to have Lucan waiting around the corner, it would just be an unfortunate coincidence. Morgryn later arrives at the cellars, and offers to save her at the cost of the coal boy. If she refuses, Morgryn pretends he understands, and leaves. If she agrees, Morgryn says he'll make the arrangements, and as he leaves the cellar, hints that he's interested in marriage. It would make for an amazing plot twist in the next game.

  • Maybe there shouldn't have been a King's Landing story? It didn't add anything, I don't know who Tom's boss or affiliates are, who wanted to keep her alive.

What was the point of the North Grove? Why would it give you an option to protect it if you don't know what it represents? That's retarded.

  • I was really surprised that they killed Mira , I thought for a fact the coal boy or (determined) sera would break use out but nope one more unnecessary forrester death to add to the pile cuz I wasn't bout to accept douchebags offer

  • I know how you feel. When I see a character has become determinant I'm usually like "Well no matter what I do this character will die or become unimportant" glad that this has kinda of been broken.

Her storyline just declined into Episode 6... Telltale could have done much better than this... she surely would have fitted in well with the events of Kings Landing in Season 5 - now we've lost the most interesting Forrester POV with no true resolution given if we choose to let her live...

I'm surprised those in support of her determinant status and the effective end of her storyline haven't been more vocal - according to the poll, over a third of voters were actually satisfied with Mira's treatment in Episode 6.

  • In my opinion, marrying morgryn would be the best choice. She can kill him off later when they are far away or something. Or when the both of them would be in the process pf "producing heirs"... Well, at least that's what runs in my head. But I also get your point. If she was given the determinant status, it would mean that she wouldn't have a big role next season, which makes her 'X'-ed in the choices of Forresters we could play as.
But still, my ultimate goal in the game was to keep as much Forresters alive.
In my playthrough, I married Morgryn hoping that that what I said earlier in this comment would be possible. And also, since Mira is one of my fav characters. Anyway, the Forrester surname won't be giving Morgryn any advantage since Ironrath is totally out. Let's just hope that we, Mira fans, will get to play as her in the next season. Given the circumstance, I know it's near impossible. But hey, the season finale was very flexible and almost each and one of us had almost had different endings. So why not apply that flexibility in the next season? :D

  • They have a big problem in their hands... there are so many timelines that could countine in Season 2...Lets just take the brothers...only one of them is alive. But the realy problem is that we know now Telltale do this... the one who survives always dies realy soon because they dont have the ball to create different timelines...

  • I tried avoiding Morgryn's questions and still he kept telling me about the Lannister guard. Which is pretty much sealed her fate already. If there were the alternative of reaching the coal boy's place perhaps... But then again Mira's fate was to mirror Sansa's at some point anyway, so... yeah we were made to feel helpless...

Honestly, I have the feeling Season 2 is going to focus on Whitehill characters such as Torrhen, Ebbert, and Gwyn, and a lot of the Forrester characters (Gared, Rodrik/Asher, Ryon, Mira) are going to be more background/side characters who are antagonistic to the player this time around. And I thin Gared and Mira are going to be pretty minor unless Telltale is really willing to put a lot of resources into the alternative paths for the characters to play a large role (Gared marching south, Mira marrying Morgryn).

By the way, I killed Damien, what do they even accuse her of in Episode 6 if you don't kill Damien? Just general treason?

  • Huge mistake. Mira had a lot of potential, and you could see that she was becoming so confident and good at "the game." I also didn't really see the point of her death besides to emphasize the whole "It's the Game of Thrones! Anyone can die!"

  • Are we going to forget how she stops Lord Andros from sending many Sellswords to House Whitehill for their attack on House Forrester which may have led to everyone dying? Mira making allies in King's Landing, such as Lady Margaery and Queen Circe can help her play a bigger role in Season 2 as well.

Well, I can see why people would be upset about Mira's death/fate, but I wouldn't call it a huge mistake. Seeing as the Forresters are meant to parallel the Starks, it was kind of expected that a lot of them were going to die or be met with a terrible fate. With GOT, it's best to try not to get too attached to the characters. (I really wish I knew that when reading A Storm of Swords for the first time.)

A recurring theme in GOT is that it doesn't matter how noble and just a character's cause is, it's still a very real possibility that they won't succeed and/or will die in the end. That's what happened with Mira, we all wanted her to prevail because her cause was pure, she just wanted to help her family. But in the end, it was all for naught. All those risks she took didn't do a thing for her or her family. I have a feeling we're meant to think that her storyline was pointless, simply because it is very unrealistic to think that she would be able to do anything from her position as a handmaiden to begin with. So, unfortunately, Mira even attempting to help her family can be seen as pointless. With that being said, I doubt there will be a continuation of her storyline in season 2, regardless of whether she lives or not in one's play through.

Anyways, I don't think the outcome of Mira's storyline was a huge mistake, in fact, I'm a little surprised that some people here didn't think that Mira would end up being determinant. To be completely honest, I knew she was doomed from the very beginning. No matter what choice I made, it felt like there was no way to ensure her safety/survival. She was completely surrounded by enemies at King's Landing, and it seemed her only 100% willing ally was a coal boy. (at least in my play through.) Sera was only looking out for herself, as were Tyrion, Margaery and Cersei. As for Morgryn, well, he was charming and helpful to the point of being suspicious. He actually reminded me of Littlefinger quite a bit, so I had a feeling he would end up having ill intentions. I agree that Mira had a lot of potential as a character, but the odds were definitely not in her favor.

  • It was very sad and annoying that Mira's story had to end like this because she was becoming a wonderful character...telltale shud have done better with the plot...I opted out of the marriage that would have saved her because it would not make any sense...Ironrath would still have fallen and Lord whitehill would still be in control and her story will fade....I just hope I didn't make a wrong choice...what do u guys think?

  • Omg I know, I was beginning to think that I was the only person who remembered about the whole "who is Tom working for" thing.

You know what bothered me about Mira's tale? We weren't given the option to bludgeon Morgryn or whatever to death with that torch. I mean, if my character is getting executed for killing a man anyway...

  • I'm glad I wasn't the only one who remembered that key, apparently it's for a cupboard. I saw an alternate play through in which if you took the key but not the seal (at least I think that is correct) then in the scene with Margaery and Sera; Margaery says that her key has gone missing and that she needs it so she can get her seal.

This in its self makes me wonder, what was the point in taking the key; if there was never going to be an opportunity to use it at some point. Another point is that if you took both of them, she only mentions to Mira that her seal is still missing, but does not also mention the key.

  • What I don't get is, if they were planning not to use Mira in season 2, why even give us the option to keep her alive?

  • Mira's not dead. She's still in the custody of Morgryn.

  • What I'd like to know is:
    1) Is King's Landing still going to be included in season 2?
    2) If it is, then who would be the playable character there if not Mira?

I find it hard to believe that they would exclude KL from season 2, however unlikely it might seem; it is still possible.

  • Exactly, it is like they have forgotten that GOT is not about how many characters you can kill off. When GRRM killed characters off it was because the plot of his story needed it to happen to move it in the direction he had planned. While I wish they hadn't killed Ethan off, it did make some sense in regard to the plot. However when you go down the road of killing characters left right and centre for the sake of it, it cheapens the deaths. Even though this is based in the GOT universe, I was still shocked when Ethan was killed. They made us choose between saving Asher or saving Rodrik, and while I didn't like it; it was clear that there could only be one playable character based at Ironrath. However I do wonder what might have happened if they had sent Asher to Dorne to try and find allies.

I was SHOCKED that Mira died, I wasn't expecting Telltale to eliminate the only eyes we had in King's Landing so I figured even if I did refuse the marriage, she'd somehow escape that fate. Plus, I really didn't want to throw Tom under the bus when he's so loyal. I mean, even GRRM doesn't usually kill off characters in certain places, otherwise who will be our POV?

I hope season 2 is still from the Forresters POV, at least halfway. I feel like I've put so much effort into their lives it'd be disappointing to not be able to play as them anymore.

  • I've got two save files for that exact reason! I want to see what all the different outcomes are.
