Is Telltale just gonna kill Rodrik/Asher in episode 1 of season 2?
Why did Telltale give Rodrik/Asher the same injuries at the end of episode 6? Are they gonna set up the brothers to die? The Measter is dead, so it's possible Rodrik/Asher will get killed off right off the bat in season 2.

I imagine that for a few episodes Asher/Rodrik will be recovering from their wounds while also keeping a low profile (to maintain the illusion that they're dead) and gaining allies.
Probably. When you have a choice to save one or the other in a Telltale game both usually end up dead in the end.
I dont think they need to, a military age guy is alive in all playthroughs,

I don't see what their deaths would serve, besides maybe shock value. Even if this setting is known for anyone can die, you still can't kill characters that are too important to the story, especially since Rodrik and Asher serves as the foundation for the plot in Season 1. If a new character of smilair importance appears or Ryon and Talia is capable of serving the same role as Rodrik and Asher, then I don't mind if the survivor gets killed off. But even then, I don't see how they can carry the story as Rodrik and Asher can.
Yeah, it seems instead a mature man who knows how to fight, we will play as the young boys and girls who can't do anything. It sucks:(((
I bet they'll make it to episode two. Then they'll get flayed by fucking Ramsay after they're sold out by Talia or Royland/Duncan depending on a choice in episode one.
I reckon they're gonna be comatose for practically the full season until Elsera shows up and needs some more blood power.
I think Cotter's death was foreshadowing. He wasn't really anyone's favourite character and it was basically kill him one way/kill him another way. With Rod/Ash it's basically 'can you kill a beloved character for a chance of victory, or would you keep them alive on the chance they can recover from their injuries?'
Except in this case when they went out of their way to make sure that didn't happen.
If they were to kill Rodrik/Asher off in Episode 1 of Season 2, it would serve no purpose other than for shock value. Another point is that if Rodrik or Asher dies in Episode 1, Season 2, then your choice in Episode 5 would have no meaning going into Season 2. Choosing who stayed behind was practically the biggest choice of the season, so having whoever lived in your playthrough die of the wounds he sustained in Episode 1 of Season 2 would be like saying, 'Hey, guys! We gave you this big choice at the end of Episode 5 but it won't matter because whoever lived will die anyway!' Killing either of them off would be very stupid for a company like Telltale, who a lot of people love. But, aside from that, one cool thing they could do in Season 2 is have your main character have a determinant recover speed. If you leave The North Grove, Elsera and everyone else could come along and save either Rodrik or Asher. And if you stay to defend The North Grove with Gared, your Lord of House Forrester may never fully heal.
Which is all the more reason why they would probably do it. I do like your idea that they might lay low and gather some allies though.

@Lord_EAA. This is probably their attempt at a twist. Also they want people to play season 2. I think they may have worried that if they had out right killed the remaining brother at the end of season 1, they may have lost players for this reason alone. Which is another reason why they didn't outright kill Mira, they gave us the option of either letting her die or keeping her alive by marrying Morgryn.
Still, they are clever enought to know the backlash they will get if they do it.

I think what will happen is that Rodrik/Asher will survive in their injured state for a while. During this time our POV will switch to Talia, which will probably result in all the die hard Talia fans wetting themselves with joy. Then mid way through season 2 Rodrik/Asher will probably reach the stage where they can no longer take the pain and are near death. So then Talia is given the option to either put them out of their misery, get the sentinel or whoever to do it or just let them die in agony. Then it will be a case of everyone banging on about how Talia is the Foresters last hope because they don't even know if Ryon survived. The Sentinel will probably die by the end of season 2. By season 3 (if they actually make one) Gared and co will finally arrived at Ironrath with their weird undead army, by which point Talia and Ryon will already be dead. Gared will die trying to help Grgor's bastards reclaim Ironrath. Then if we're lucky the bastards might defeat the Whitehills and live to claim Ironrath as their own and maybe even be made legitimate. Then Telltale will say that we succeeded in saving House Forester.
