If only Mira...
to think if only Mira turned the different corner, or if she even had the choice and option to reject Lord Morgryn's "hospitality in Gywn's words; "It could have been so different."
Do you think she could've really escaped and even if she did lay low and go back to Ironrath, did she even really have a future at all.
I mean basically if she escaped she'd be an Ayra or a Sansa except without the help of a Hound or Petyr.

The only thing I hate about Mira's story is that I wasn't given the choice to meet the lannister guard. You basically find yourself there without deciding it. And also I was a bit skeptical about meeting with the two merchants and tyrion because in Mira's situation it was better to maintain a low profile instead of revealing herself and being more vulnerable. We could have used Tom as a spy around King's Landing and at the same time playing the part of the innocent handmaiden.
By the way, I'm new here and english is not my first language.
I dont think she could have escaped the dungeon without help from powerful people and she had no allies except Tom. Tyrion was in jail. Margaery wont help. She was screwed either way.
I have no idea why once it became clear that Margaery was talking a good game about caring but wasn't going to lift a proverbial finger for us and Tom's "people who want to help us" weren't materializing, it never occurred to Mira to get the hell out of Dodge. I guess plot but pretty much every time I saw her after the purple wedding I was like go home, Mira, go home! There definitely came a point where there was nothing more she could do and she should have left because even with everything going on at Ironrath, she would have almost definitely been safer back home or at least on her way there.
I enjoyed The Ice Dragon immensely, as well as the entire game (it's my favourite one!) but Mira's storyline and the shear pointlessness of the North Grove really weigh on the whole thing. Mira should have escaped King's Landing at the end of the season to travel north. (Either via sneaking out if she refused to marry Morgryn, or with him in a carriage, if she agreed). And Gared should have died instead in the finale. Perhaps some sort of North Grove sacrifice, or killed by Jon Snow, who found them on his way back from Craster's? Imagine that. An epic fight between Jon and Gared in the snow? (Don't get me wrong, I prefer Gared to Mira, but plot-wise, I think this would have been best)
I was so happy, when playing as Mira, to see the "I need to get to Ironrath." Dialogue. I thought "yes, finally!" and clicked it without hesitation. After all, I remembered Tom's words: "I know people, people who would be willing to help you." Obviously not, since come the end, Mira, A HIGHBORN HANDMAIDEN TO THE QUEEN WHO (DETERMINEDLY) IS HER BEST FRIEND, "LIKE A SISTER", can die without a trial... without evidence... without even having done the crime. Whose Tom's boss? Who knows! Who cares!
"The North Grove may very well be vital to saving House Forrester." Nah JK, it's just some shitty grove filled with Forrester bastards that doesn't really do anything, certainly nothing that benefits House Forrester. Oh, and it's under constant assault by wights. Great place. Definitely worth Gared being absent from Ironrath the whole game, and breaking vows to the Nights Watch. Sighs
It's this kind of stuff why I exclusively stick to Asher and Rodrik's storyline. Well, Ironrath in general. That to me is where the real story takes place. Everything else is just padding to fill the Game of Thrones quota of having political scheming, and a magical northern quest, as well as inclusion of characters like Jon Snow, Cersei, and Tyrion. I hope Season 2 consolidates its story to the north, to be honest. Rodrik / Asher, Gared, Talia and maybe a whole new fourth character (Torrhen or something, maybe Beskha).
I think that would make the overall story far, far stronger.
That, to me, is the most confusing part of Mira's whole story and arc. Why does she refuse to leave King's Landing until it's too late? Lannister Guards are trying to kill her in Episode 2, she's been fired by Episode 3... She says she misses home. But then, whenever the topic comes up, she, goes "No, please Lady Margaery, I'll do anything, just don't send me home!"
The only thing I can think of is she truly believes she can help her family by staying... but obviously she was wrong. Either Marrying Morgryn into the family, or having a Forrester be convicted of treason and beheaded, is equally damaging to the entire House. But she wouldn't leave King's Landing. She didn't even dispose of the knife that killed the Lannister Guard--and she had four episodes to do it. A shame terrible writing rendered Mira, a cool character with so much potential, incompetent and useless in the end.
Really? I don't think there is anything wrong with your English.
I agree, Telltale basically forces us into situations that we ourselves would never have allowed ourselves to fall victim too. We also get judged based on the actions of other characters. For example that time in the garden when Sera is drinking wine that was stolen from Cersei. Even if Mira chooses not to drink any, Tyrion gives her a warning about which risks are worth taking.
I agree, this is one of the things that has frustrated me the most. Is the fact that they had a strong character in Mira and a lot of potential for character development, but parts of her plot line just didn't seem to make sense and have had no impact on the other story arcs. I feel that the developers and writers have let Mira down as a character.
I wouldn't mind betting that if they had messed up so badly with Asher or Rodrik's story line, that the forums would be going into melt down.
Give me the whole Season 2 with just Rodrik and Asher or just the North storyline and I would be happy.
The only possible reason why I think Mira is staying in King's Landing despite the danger, it is that she is in the best position to help her family there rather than at home, where she is in danger too. But she sadly didn't accomplished much. Her defeating Andros didn't stop the Whitehills from besieging Ironrath and her keeping the decree didn't amount anything. By Episode 5, she should have immediately went home, where she could have aided her family better by either acting as diplomat or marrying another Northern lord to establish an alliance with another house and win more support for Rodrik/Asher.
Yes and the fact that she has no trial is another sort point as you rightly point out @DillonDex. How epic would it have been if Mira had been put on trial and upon realising that it was rigged to find her guilty, could call upon Asher as her champion.
Also I can't help but think the North Grove is going to be Telltale's magical solution to fix everything. Messed everything up? magic North Grove will fix it. Got all your Foresters killed? magical North Grove will bring them all back good as new. Want all your enemies dead? magical North Grove will kill them all. Which if that is the case, is just plain lazy on the writer's and developer's part.
Telltale: No reasonable conclusion to season 1? Magical North Grove to the rescue
By the way, let's talk about Sera. Margaery can dismiss us because of sneaking into Coronation party, but not her For stealing the queen's wine, which in my opinion is far worse(c'mon you steal from Cersei and Margaery does nothing?), at least she knows we did it For a reason. And I don't believe that it was For arguing with Andros, because everybody noticed that he yelled at Morgryn too and had problems with Lyman.
Maybe I went off-topic
I don't think it is so much the fact that we snuck into the coronation party, it was more a fact that it was the last straw. I admit that it is odd that she would keep Sera after she stole Cersei's wine. It has always irritated me the way Margaery is always having a go at Mira, even though she knows that Mira is trying to save her family. We're told that having Margaery's favour is important, but she is no help what so ever; if anything she is more of a thorn in my side. The only time it was useful to be her handmaiden was when I forged that letter to Elaena. Even that proved to be pointless. Even though Sera could be irritating at times, at least she proved to be useful at least once.
Hey why not? it looks like it's going to be their solution to everything.
I agree. Ironically Margaery and Tyrion are two of my favourite characters and (especially Tyrion) they were the cause of Mira's fall.
