Asher's "Army"
Did anyone else think Asher just maybe should have gotten more by going to other private fighting pits? Or maybe even the Great Pit, since the fighters are all free now?
He brought how many pit fighters, two dozen maybe? He's fought Whitehills before and a war between Forrester and Whitehill was something Gregor wished to avoid, so Asher had to have known that Ludd had a fairly large army, enough to threaten the Forrester's at full strength. And since it was possible to get the pit fighters on your side without Daenerys' gold, it seems that he just brought way, way too few to even have a chance of fighting all 500 Whitehill soldiers. How in the heck did he think that would be enough to defeat the Whitehills, even if he wasn't ambushed?

Asher must have thought they were "Twenty Good Men."
That's seriously one of the best comments I've read in this forum.
Thanks. And welcome back, mate.
Well, since Beskha said that one pit fighter is worth 10 sellswords, Asher probably thought that he wouldn't need to convice more pit fighters to fight for him. Oh, little did they know.
Haha, thanks, Dave ^-^
Asher brought as many as he could with the time given. Believe it or not they gave the Forresters a fighting chance and things might've been a lot worse without them. Maybe the Lord of House Forrester wouldn't have even survived without them.
It's a good thing Asher is a popular character, otherwise he'd be getting criticized to hell for bringing ten soldiers back and calling it an army.
If he'd brought more, the battle would have been won, I mean the Forrester's only just lost the battle after all.
Sad but true.
Right at the end of the "Battle Of Ironrath" Asher knew.. He fucked up.
